  • Publication number: 20180084188
Abstract: At least one embodiment of an imaging apparatus has: an imaging plane capable of being curved; an evaluation unit that determines an evaluation value indicating a degree of in-focus of an image signal from the imaging element; an adjustment unit adjusting a position of the focus adjustment lens to a position with the highest evaluation value; and a control unit that controls the curvature of the imaging plane for correcting an image plane curve in the optical system and for bringing the image signal into focus. When the adjustment unit adjusts the position of the focus adjustment lens to an end portion of the movable area, the curvature of the imaging plane is controlled for bringing the image signal into focus on a priority basis.

  • Patent number: 7352391
Abstract: An electronic still camera according to the invention picks up field image signals from a CCD image sensor by adding signal charges of two adjacent pixels and, based on the field image signals, displays a moving picture on an LCD according to an interlace-scanning method. In response to a shutter release operation, the still camera doubles the charge storage time of the CCD image sensor, and sequentially picks up signal charges from every pixel of the CCD image sensor to record the image signals of one frame, such that the recorded image signals have the same signal levels as the field image signals.

  • Patent number: 7095437
Abstract: An electronic camera automatically suspends the power supply when an external storage medium is detached, and automatically resumes the power supply when the external storage medium is attached. This eliminates the necessity of operating a power switch when the external storage medium is detached and attached. The power supply to a memory card interface and a memory card is suspended upon detection of the start of the detachment of the memory card while the main switch is ON. This protects the memory card and data therein, and reduces the waste of power in the camera while the memory card is detached from the camera. The power supply is resumed upon detection of the attachment of the memory card to the camera. If a predetermined period has elapsed since the power supply is suspended while the memory card is not attached from the camera, the main switch is automatically turned off.
