  • Patent number: 7118289
Abstract: An optical fiber composite ferrule 1 is disclosed as having a leading terminal member 1A made of hard material such as zirconia ceramic, and a trailing terminal member 2A made of synthetic resin having a linear expansion coefficient equal to or less than that of the leading terminal member 1A. By so forming, a stress to be imparted to an optical fiber due to surrounding temperature variation can be lessened.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 25, 2003
Date of Patent: October 10, 2006
    Assignee: Kyoueisenzai Kabushikigaisha
Inventors: Kousei Ishibashi, Masahiro Shibata, Minoru Nakamura
  • Patent number: 6709167
Abstract: A composite ferrule 4 of a connector for optical fibers, which includes a ferrule base 1 and a flange portion 3. The ferrule base 1 includes: a cylindrical front member 1A made of a hard material, which has an optical fiber insert hole 1B at the center thereof; and a rear member 2A made by molding synthetic resin with a substantially same diameter as the front member 1A. The rear member 2A has a coated-optical fiber guide hole 2B at the center thereof, and is joined to an end of the front member 1A. The flange portion 3 is formed on an end of the ferrule base 1 with synthetic resin and has a coated-optical fiber guide hole 2B.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 27, 2001
Date of Patent: March 23, 2004
    Assignee: Kyoueisenzai Kabushiki Gaisha
Inventors: Kousei Ishibashi, Masahiro Shibata, Minoru Nakamura, Tomohiko Matsuda

  • Patent number: 5178744
Abstract: An oxygen sensor device is disclosed having a glass dome fluid-tightly connected at its circumferential base edge to one surface of an oxygen conductive solid electrolyte plate to form a diffusion chamber defined by the glass dome and the solid electrolyte plate. The diffusion chamber may be vacant, or may have a porous inorganic material packing layer fixedly disposed in the entire space thereof. Alternatively, the diffusion chamber may have a porous inorganic material semi-packing layer fixedly disposed in an upper portion thereof remote from the electrolyte plate, while leaving vacant the remainder of the chamber. The oxygen sensor device is advantageous from the viewpoints of miniaturization, power consumption saving and reliability.
