    Abstract: A vehicle front structure which is partitioned into an engine compartment and a passenger compartment with a dashboard. An exhaust pipe is extended from a rear part of an engine accommodated in the engine compartment to a rear part of the vehicle, beneath the passenger compartment. Between the engine and the dashboard, a steering gearbox, a harness and a plurality of pipes extending transversely of the vehicle are arranged. A heat shielding plate is interposed between the steering gearbox, harness and pipes as a group, and the exhaust pipe. The heat shielding plate blocks heat emitted from the engine and the exhaust pipe from affecting the steering gearbox, harness and pipes.
