R1 to R4, R11 to R13, L1, and L2 represents specific groups, and n, ?1, and ?2 represent specific numbers. At least one of R11, R12, or R13 contains a carboxy group or a substituent capable of being bonded to a biological substance. the compound represented by Formula (1) has at least one structure represented by —(CH2—CH2—O)m—R21, where R21 represents a specific group, and m represents a specific number. The compound represented by Formula (1) is a neutral compound.
