  • Patent number: 11930444
Abstract: A communication device electrically connecting to a vehicle including an engine performs a periodic network search to search for a predetermined network when a network currently used by the communication device is not the predetermined network. The communication device restricts performance of the periodic network search during an off period in which the power source is in an off state.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 27, 2021
Date of Patent: March 12, 2024
    Assignee: KYOCERA Corporation

  • Patent number: 9110529
Abstract: An area selection operation of a character string is performed by touching the character string displayed on a display unit 1 via a touch panel unit 2 disposed on the display unit 1 by a finger and tracing the character string. When it is determined that the finger performing the area selection operation is positioned over a displayed character, character type information of the character at a contact position of the finger is determined. Then, when the contact position of the finger performing the selection operation moves from the character to a next character of the character string, a tactile sensation is provided based on information added to each of the characters. An end point of a selected area of the character string is set to a character for which the tactile sensation is provided immediately before detection of release of the finger.

  • Patent number: 5489382
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an oxygenator using a hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane possessing an inside diameter in the range of 150 to 300 microns, a wall thickness in the range of 10 to 150 microns, and a substantially circular cross section, which porous hollow fiber membrane possesses an average crimp amplitude in the range of 35 to 120% of the outside diameter, a maximum crimp amplitude/crimp half cycle period at maximum crimp amplitude ratio in the range of 0.01 to 0.1, and a crimp ratio in the range of 1.0 to 3.0%, and a method for the production thereof.

  • Patent number: 5354470
Abstract: A porous polypropylene hollow fiber membrane constructed and arranged for artificial lung use and an artificial lung. The membrane includes a solid phase in an inner surface region thereof formed with particles of polypropylene closely fused and joined to give rise to a continuous phase while partially exposed through the surface thereof, a solid phase in an interior and an outer surface region thereof formed with particles of polypropylene interconnected in the direction of axis of the fiber to give rise to a multiplicity of lumps of polyproplylene and an interstice between the phases having continuous pores interconnected in the form of a three-dimensional network.

  • Patent number: 5139529
Abstract: A porous polypropylene hollow fiber membrane is disclosed which is characterized by the fact that the solid phase in the inner surface region thereof is formed with particles of polypropylene closely fused and joined to give rise to a continuous phase while partially exposed through the surface thereof, the solid phase in the interior and the outer surface region thereof is formed with particles of polypropylene interconnected in the direction of axis of fiber to give rise to a multiplicity of lumps of polypropylene, and the interstices between these solid phases has continuous pores interconnected in the form of a three-dimensional network. When this porous polypropylene hollow fiber membrane is used in an artificial lung, without reference to the choice between the type adapted to pass blood inside the hollow fiber membrane, it exhibits a high gas-exchange capacity without infliction of injury upon blood cells, aggravation of pressure loss, or leakage of blood plasma.
