  • Patent number: 9157524
Abstract: A vehicle transmission includes a main transmission, a sub-transmission, a sub-transmission shift position sensor, and a map switching device. The main transmission is an automatic transmission configured to perform gear shifting according to a gear shift map selected between a first gear shift map and a second gear shift map in accordance with a throttle opening degree and a vehicle speed. The sub-transmission is configured to change rotational speed of rotational drive force output from the main transmission by manually selecting a sub-transmission gear position between a drive position and a low position having a reduction ratio larger than a reduction ratio of the drive position. The map switching device is configured to perform switching between the first gear shift map and the second gear shift map in accordance with sensing signals from the sub-transmission shift position sensor.

  • Patent number: 9109476
Abstract: A lubricating device for a power unit includes an oil pan, an oil tank being separated from the oil pan, a scavenging pump for circulating the received oil of the oil pan to the oil tank, and a feed pump to feeding oil stored in the oil tank to the engine and the transmission, wherein an oil reservoir for storing a certain amount of oil to immerse a lower part of a clutch that connects and disconnects a transmission route between the engine and the transmission is provided in a power unit case, and a first overflow passage is provided in the oil tank such that when the stored oil in the oil tank is increased beyond a first level, the first overflow passage allows the increased oil to overflow into the oil reservoir side.

  • Patent number: 8342013
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining oil degradation measures a first electric-current value of a driving current used to operate an electric oil pump at a predetermined consistent revolution, and stores the first electric-current value as an electric-current initial value. Data is corrected by measuring a second electric-current value of the driving current, with the second electric-current value being measured when the electric pump is operated at the predetermined consistent revolution when the engine is driven a predetermined time after the electric-current initial value is stored. The electric-current initial value is compared with the second electric-current value. It is then determined that a viscosity of the oil has become low when a difference between the electric-current initial value and the second electric-current value is equal to or greater than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 8049349
Abstract: A power generation control device can include a switching circuit which controls an output of a generator. A periodical power charge control unit can be configured to allow the switching circuit to the operated in a zone including a combustion stroke of one cylinder of an internal combustion engine, and in an periodical power charge control range preset from in a zone which does not overlap a compression stroke of another cylinder of the internal combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 8042420
Abstract: A twin clutch type speed-change apparatus for detecting the engagement state of a dog clutch by use of the rotational speed difference between an inner main shaft and an outer main shaft and of a signal outputted from a gear position sensor. A rotational speed difference between an inner main shaft and an outer main shaft is detected by use of inner and outer rotational speed sensors. When the engagement of the dog clutch is to be released, it is judged to complete the release if the signal outputted from the gear position sensor indicates a speed step number after shifting and the rotational speed difference is zero. It is judged as a dog-tip caught state if the signal outputted from the gear position sensor indicates a speed step number before or after shifting and the rotational speed difference is a transmission gear ratio difference.
