    Abstract: A planetary gear mechanism a sun gear, pinion gears meshing with the sun gear, a planetary carrier having pinion shafts pivotally supporting the pinion gears, a ring gear meshing with the pinion gears, and washers provided between the planetary carrier and the pinion gears. The washers include first washers that are disposed on the side of the planetary carrier and that have projections projecting radially outwardly from outer circumferential sides and second washers that are disposed between the first washers and the pinion gears. The projections come into contact with the planetary carrier and thereby prevent rotation of the first washers.
