The present disclosure relates to a high zirconia electrically-fused cast refractory, in which, as chemical components: sum of ZrO2 and HfO2 is more than 80% and 92% or less by mass, Al2O3 is 0.2-3.0% by mass, SiO2 is 1.5-10% by mass, Na2O is 0.05-2.0% by mass, K2O is 1.0% or less by mass, B2O3 is 0-1.5% by mass, Y2O3 is more than 4.0% and 9.0% or less by mass, sum of MgO and CaO is 0.02-0.4% by mass, CaO is 0.01% or more by mass, sum of Fe2O3 and TiO2 is 0.5% or less by mass, P2O5 is 0.04% or less by mass.

    Abstract: Provided is a method for operating electric deionizer, in which concentration chambers and desalination chambers are defined between an anode and a cathode by an ion exchange membrane, concentrated water flows through the concentration chambers, raw water flows through the desalination chambers as water to be treated, and the treated water is extracted as product water, the method being characterized in that the water flows through all of the concentration chambers in the opposite direction of the water-passing direction of the water to be treated in the desalination chambers.

The method of producing the high alumina fused cast refractory of the present invention includes obtaining a mixture by mixing an Al2O3 source material, a SiO2 source material, a B2O3 source material and an MgO source material, and fusing the mixture.
