  • Patent number: 5862682
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling needles of a knitting machine based upon comparing a plurality of predetermined position control patterns defining target positions with the position of a yarn feeder and a needle. When the positions are not the same, each needle is incrementally moved based upon the present position of the needle and the determined target position of the needle.

  • Patent number: 5437082
Abstract: A defective yarn repairing device of a warper, the defective yarn repairing device comprising a yarn detecting device for detecting a defective yarn contained in a warp; a yarn pulling device for pulling out the defective yarn from the warp; and a positioning device which has a knotter and positions the defective yarn pulling device at the position corresponding to the ascertained location of the defective yarn, wherein the positioning device causes the defective yarn pulling device to be moved in the widthwise direction of the warp; the defective yarn detecting device stops upon ascertaining the location of a defective yarn; the defective yarn pulling device pulls out the detected defective yarn from the warp; and wherein the knotter repairs the fluffy yarn.

  • Patent number: 4911208
Abstract: A weft yarn measuring method controls the picking device of a fluid jet loom so as to pick a weft yarn of a predetermined length in each picking cycle. In releasing loops of the weft yarn wound on the storage drum of the picking device, the retaining pin of the picking device is controlled so that only one of the loops of the weft yarn is unwound at each reciprocation of the retaining pin, and the reciprocation of the retaining pin is repeated a plurality of times to unwind accurately a plurality of loops of the weft yarn corresponding to a predetermined length of the weft yarn necessary for one picking cycle.

  • Patent number: 4832086
Abstract: In construction of an insertion controller for a fluid jet loom in which a driver circuit controls the sequence of weft insertion following a regular sequential weft insertion pattern given by an automatic weft selector, a free selective weft selection by a manual weft selector is introduced for free and easy adjustment of weft insertion with provisional reservation of the regular sequential weft selection pattern.

  • Patent number: 4739942
Abstract: A weft yarn storing device having a rotary yarn guide for winding a weft yarn on a measuring and storing drum, a motor for driving said rotary yarn guide for rotation, which comprises a controller. The controller comprises a frequency pattern generator which generates, upon the reception of a start signal, a control frequency signal of a control frequency pattern having a creep of a low frequency in a deceleration period in which the motor is decelerated; a voltage pattern generator which generates a control voltage signal corresponding to the frequency of the control frequency signal; a pulse width modulating unit which generates a pulse width modulated signal on the basis of the control frequency signal and the control voltage signal; and a driver which applies a DC voltage intermittently to the motor according to the output signal of the PWM unit.

  • Patent number: 4736324
Abstract: The optimum control conditions for a plurality of looms are simply estimated with the use of a trial loom. Hereby, the plurality of looms are operated under a centralized control method. The looms, even if they vary in their respective characteristics, can be effectively operated by correcting standard control data for controlling the looms in response to variations of the loom characteristics. The present centralized control method can save much labor and time to improve productivity of the looms, by properly eliminating elaborate trial weaving processes.
