    Abstract: A flame-resistant plaster board characterized in that the board paper constituting the outside of the plaster board contains at least one alkali compound selected from the group consisting of hydroxides and salts of alkali metals and alkaline earth metals which easily decompose or melt on heating. Said flame-resistant plaster board is improved in that the generation of smoke on heating is inhibited without reduction of the mechanical strength.
