  • Publication number: 20060013593
Abstract: Disclosed is a light-intensity modulation element, which comprises a substrate made of a nonlinear optical crystal, and a light waveguide formed in a principal surface of the substrate to extend in one direction. The light waveguide includes first and second wavelength conversion portions for converting a part of infrared light introduced into the light waveguide to a second harmonic. Each of the first and second wavelength conversion portions has a plurality of polarization structures serially disposed in the longitudinal direction of the light waveguide in such a manner that their polarities in the thickness direction of the substrate are inverted periodically and alternately in the longitudinal direction of the light waveguide. The light waveguide further includes a phase adjustment portion located between the first and second wavelength conversion portions, and associated with a pair of electrodes disposed in opposed relation to one another on opposite sides thereof.

  • Patent number: 6803940
Abstract: A laser beam scanner for scanning primary colors of red, green and blue laser beams on the same scanning plane includes three sets of a laser light source, an acousto-optic modulator, an adjustable mirror corresponding to the primary colors, and a polygon mirror, an f&thgr; lens, and a pair of mirrors. One of the mirrors serves as a beam splitter for splitting the laser beams into a first way for introducing the laser beams to the scanning plane and the second way for introducing a position sensor disposed on a plane optically conjugated with the scanning plane. The adjustable mirrors are adjusted in a manner so that the red and blue laser beams are to be overlapped on the green laser beam by monitoring the positions of laser beams sensed by the position sensor.

  • Patent number: 6664996
Abstract: In a laser beam scanner of used for exposing a latent image on a photographic paper, intensities of the laser beams are maintained in predetermined range by compensating amplitude of driving signals supplied to acousto-optic modulators when intensities of the laser beams emitted from laser light sources are varied. The intensities of the laser beams passing through the modulators are sensed by photo sensors and compared with predetermined standard value. When any of the intensity of the laser beam is discrepant from the standard value, a difference between them is calculated and an optical modulation data for controlling the amplitude of the driving signal is compensated by subtracting the difference value from the standard value. Thereby, the amplitude of the driving signal of the modulator is compensated.

  • Patent number: 5901949
Abstract: A photograph collating system for combining and collating negative films and prints. The system includes a conveyer mechanism (70) extending through a negative film intake station (71) for receiving the negative films from a negative film outlet (60), a print intake station (73) for receiving the prints from a print outlet (50), and a collating station (74) for collating the negative films and prints. The conveyer mechanism (70) includes trays (100) for transporting the negative films (2) and the prints (3), a guide circuit (80) defining a transport passage of the trays, and a drive device (90) for moving the trays along the guide circuit (80). Each of the trays having moved to the collating station (74) is disengaged from the drive device by contact with a preceding one of the trays in a direction of transport.

  • Patent number: 4846387
Abstract: A paper guide assembly for use with a photographic processor is proposed, in which a pair of guide holders, each having a paper guide formed with a groove for supporting a printing paper, are arranged over and across a positioning bar and adapted to be slidably movable keeping parallel with each other. A vertically extending lever fixed to each guide holder is adapted to be removably inserted into one of recessed portions formed in the upper surface of the positioning bar. The adjustment of the distance between the guide holders are carried out by moving the pair of levers so that an indication on a rating plate provided on top of each lever will coincide with an indication on a rating plate provided on a frame cover which shows the width of paper. After selecting the desired position, when the levers are released, they will fit into the recesses, thus setting the guide holders in a desired position.
