There are provided plural pattern generators to generate plural different patterns for each character code, and one of the patterns is selected according to the size of the recording sheet.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing paper sheets comprises a batch feeder for carrying the withdrawn paper sheets, a takeout device for picking up the paper sheets from the batch feeder, one by one, an inspection section for inspecting the paper sheets picked up by the takeout device, whereby the paper sheets are classified into two groups, an unmachinable first group and a machinable second group, a first collecting device for collecting the first group of paper sheets, and a judgment unit for classifying the second group of paper sheets into two subgroups, a legitimate third group and a counterfeit fourth group. The first collecting device includes a second collecting device for collecting the third group of paper sheets, and third collecting device for collecting the fourth group of paper sheets.

Abstract: A molten carbonate fuel cell is disclosed, which includes a .gamma.-lithium aluminate porous electrolyte plate composed of a .gamma.-lithium aluminate porous sheet having fine, continuous pores having diameters distributed in a range of from 0.05 .mu.m, at least 60% of said fine pores having diameters distributed in a range of from 0.05 .mu.m to 0.5 .mu.m, and having an average diameter of not more than 0.2 .mu.m and a porosity of 50-70% and molten carbonate electrolyte impregnating the porous sheet. A method of manufacturing the electrolyte plate is also disclosed.

Abstract: In a code converting device for converting first code data of scattered code form into second code data of consecutive data form, the first code data are divided at least into a first bit group and a second bit group, and the first bit group is supplied to a first memory to obtain first output data and second output data. The first output data and the second bit group are supplied to a second memory to obtain third output data. The second output data and the third output data are processed in a data processing unit to obtain the second code data.

Abstract: There is disclosed a nozzle apparatus for spraying a mixture of gas and liquid. The apparatus comprises a casing having therein a gas jetting nozzle member and a liquid chamber. The liquid flows out of the chamber in directions to cross at a predetermined angle with a direction in which the gas is jetted out of the nozzle member.

Abstract: In reading out character dot patterns corresponding to character code signals from a dot pattern store therein a number of character dot patterns representing characters, there is provided a store therein position signals representing positions whereat the character dot patterns are stored in said dot pattern store, so that the position signals are first read out from the store by the character code signals and the corresponding character dot patterns are read out from said dot pattern store by the position signals.
