  • Patent number: 4435954
Abstract: In a fiber opening device in open-end spinning unit, having a combing roller which is encased by a casing and forming a fiber transferring passage between said combing roller and said casing, a wear-resistant member, preferably a member having a pin shape, is provided at an edge of an opening, e.g. a trash exit port opening formed in said casing and communicated with said passage. The structure of the fiber opening device according to the present invention makes possible easy installation of the wear-resistant member, and prevents harmful wear or bruising at said edge portion of the opening in the casing.

  • Patent number: 4249369
Abstract: A centralized control system for open end spinning machines comprises a group control unit essentially consisting of a first spinning control means composed of a plurality of sequentially operated logical elements connected in series, the first spinning control means producing from the respective logical elements parallel outputs each of which is fed to a plurality of spinning units so as to control the spinning operation thereof, and an individual control unit essentially consisting of a second spinning control means each of which constituent is the same as the first spinning control means. A spinning mechanism includes a yarn breakage sensor provided in the stream of spun yarn, a driving means for driving the spinning mechanism including a plurality of driving motors, controlled by the output from the group or individual control unit.

  • Patent number: 4169019
Abstract: An electroplated combing roller for use in a spinning unit of an open end spinning machine comprises an aluminum alloy cylindrical body, and a steel wire fixedly mounted in the cylindrical body. A hardened chromium plating is carried out after mounting the steel wire onto the aluminum alloy cylindrical body and the dimensions of the steel wire and aluminum alloy cylinder are interrelated in a manner such that only the exposed surface of the steel wire is plated with the hardened chromium while the exposed surface of the aluminum alloy cylinder is not so plated.

  • Patent number: 4109451
Abstract: In an open-end spinning apparatus provided with a spinning rotor rotatably disposed in a rotor housing and a combing roller rotatably disposed in a frame body, a spinning chamber being formed when the frame body is combined with the rotor housing when the normal spinning operation is carried out, when it is required to remove impurities from the inside wall of the spinning rotor, firstly the frame body is displaced away from the rotor housing and simultaneously a receiving plane is created at a position adjacent to the opened rotor housing, where suction force is being applied, and secondly, the impurities are removed from the spinning rotor and accumulated on the receiving plane so that the received impurities are carried outside of the spinning apparatus by the suction force.

  • Patent number: 4041687
Abstract: An open-end spinning machine has a succession of spinning units mounted on the frame thereof for pivotal movement between operative and inoperative positions, each spinning unit including a silver opening section, which contains therein a combing-out zone and a doffing zone. The silver opening section is associated with an impurity collecting chamber having an impurity inlet port arranged to be in communication with a fiber path between the combing-out zone and the doffing zone, and an impurity outlet port, through which the impurities are discharged from the collecting chamber. The outlet port has an open end opening into the atmosphere, and an impurity transfer pipe connected at one end to a source of vacuum is arranged so that the other end thereof faces the open end of the outlet port in spaced relation thereto.

  • Patent number: 4022007
Abstract: A ringless spinning frame comprises a spinning frame body, above which a plurality of sliver cans are disposed on a platform, and a plurality of spinning units attached to the spinning frame body. A sliver from each sliver can is guided by a sliver guide conduit, which is disposed between the corresponding sliver can and spinning unit, to the corresponding spinning unit. The sliver guide conduits extend downwardly behind the corresponding spinning units and within the spinning frame body the interior of which reaches a temperature higher than that of the exterior by about 10.degree. to 20.degree. Celsius. To prevent the sliver guide conduits within the spinning frame body from being raised in temperature, the ringless spinning frame is provided with a device disposed near the sliver guide conduits for preventing heat produced in the spinning frame body from being transmitted to the sliver guide conduits.

  • Patent number: 4002305
Abstract: A device for forming a transfer tail wind around a bobbin held by a take-up mechanism of a ringless spinning machine such as an open-end spinning machine. The tail wind forming device comprises an auxiliary yarn guide disposed at a position along a yarn passage formed between the delivery roller means and a traverse motion mechanism of the take-up mechanism. The auxiliary yarn guide is provided with a groove for restricting the above-mentioned yarn passage to a position corresponding to an end portion of the bobbin, where the yarn is free from the traverse motion mechanism, when the transfer tail wind is being formed on the bobbin.

  • Patent number: 3991950
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for making yarn packages of cheese form by winding units of a textile machine, wherein a bobbin of a yarn package is rotatably supported by each cradle turnably supported by a pivot shaft secured to a bracket in such a condition that the contacting pressure between a yarn package and a friction roller for rotating the yarn package is gradually decreased in an exponential manner according to the increase in the size of the yarn package and the above-mentioned change of the contacting pressure is attained by utilizing means for compensating the contacting pressure which connects the cradle with the bracket.
