    Abstract: A parking brake operating device includes: a lever body; a pole pivotally arranged inside a proximal end portion of the lever body, and restricts pivoting movement of the lever body; and a release rod pivotally connected to the pole, and causes the pole to disengage from the ratchet when a release knob is pushed, the operating portion being provided with a slit being provided with a wide portion into which a pivot connecting portion for the release rod and the pole is introduced, the wide portion being provided in a part of the slit; the wide portion having parallel portions; and the release rod and the pole fitted at positions in the lever body by introducing the release rod and the pivot connecting portion into the operating portion through the slit, and moving the release rod and the pivot connecting portion in this state toward the proximal end portion.

    Abstract: In first and second flat plates and provided in the pad mounting portion, projecting portions for locking the pedal pad are provided at positions not juxtaposed with each other in any one of first to third directions. On the other hand, the pedal pad is mounted on the pad mounting portion with an inner wall of a through hole locked by the projecting portion, and with an inner wall of a through hole locked by the projecting portion. In a mounting work, a worker inserts the pad mounting portion through an opening portion of the pedal pad and makes the pedal pad slide toward the second direction so as to complete the mounting. As a result, an operation pedal for a vehicle capable of improving assembling performances of a pedal pad to a pad mounting portion is provided.

    Abstract: A reinforcement rib is provided from surroundings of a boss section continuously extending towards a lower-end portion thereof, and the boss section is provided substantially perpendicular to a flat section of the reinforcement rib; this improves the strength of the pedal arm as appropriate including the surroundings of the boss section on which a large load is applied at the time of depressing operation, and thus makes it possible to achieve reduction in weight and costs by thickness reduction while securing a required strength. Although the pedal arm is of a flat plate shape, providing a front side flange and a rear side flange allows for forming a front side recess and a rear side recess between the reinforcement rib and the respective front side flange and rear side flange.
