  • Patent number: 7898698
Abstract: There are provided a method and a device for creating print data, a program for creating print data, and a recording medium capable of accurately adjusting the position of the print image of pre-printing with the print image of post-printing when performing CTP printing, regardless of generation of fan-out, without performing control of the position correction of the imaging device in the printing plate creation device or without correcting the image position when creating a printing plate of the data for creating digitized printing plate. Deformation information on the direction of expansion/contraction to be performed on an object to be printed is set and expansion/contraction correction of the direction corresponding to the expansion/contraction is performed for the image type data on the print data according to the corresponding position data the deformation information.

  • Publication number: 20070127044
Abstract: In a print quality checking system and a print quality checking method for checking the print quality of a printed material by comparing read image data obtained by scanning the printed material with check criterion image data that is a criterion for checking print quality, in order to maintain the criterion fixed independently of printing conditions and printer conditions to provide a consistent, proper print quality check, printing plate data generated in consideration of characteristics of a printing unit and characteristics of a reader by a printing plate data generator in a process prior to printing or draft data is used as the check criterion image data. Unlike the case where a printed material is scanned by the reader to generate check criterion data, proper check criterion data having neither scratch nor stain is obtained without actually printing.

  • Patent number: 7213515
Abstract: A data creating device for printing plates optimizes image data for use in forming printing plates using a printing press having a feed reel for feeding printing film onto a circumference of a plate cylinder from a circumference recess formed in the plate cylinder, a rewind reel for rewinding the printing film fed from the feed reel so as to draw the printing film from the circumference of the plate cylinder, and an image forming device for forming an image on the printing film placed on the circumference of the plate cylinder. The data creating device detects a maximum position of the image data in a plate transfer direction. The data creating device deletes data downstream of the maximum position in the plate transfer direction, thereby creating optimized image data. The data creating device stores the optimized image data in a memory to be used in forming the printing plate.

  • Publication number: 20060102031
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a data creating device for printing plates that optimizes image data so as to enable printing operation by using a minimum amount of a printing film. According to the present invention, there is provided a data creating device for printing plates that optimizes image data for use in forming printing plates, the data creating device being characterized in that a maximum position of the image data with respect to a plate transfer direction is detected; and data downstream to the maximum position with respect to the plate transfer direction is deleted, thereby creating optimized image data.
