Abstract: The conceived invention simplifies current art methods of incorporating fire notification appliances with fire sprinkler systems by replacing vane and pressure type of waterflow switches with a single water driven generator having dual functionality. It includes power generation and activation when water moves through a sprinkler system. A notification appliance may use audible, visible, or other stimuli to alert the occupants of a fire. The system also includes a waterflow switch output to trigger an external fire/security alarm system when required and a digital controller with a delay timer to prevent false alarms due to water pressure fluctuations. Another embodiment includes both alarm monitoring and circuit supervision to enhance operation and system maintenance.

Abstract: A valve stem cap for pneumatic tires which has a lock mechanism to prevent theft and unauthorized tampering with the valve. The valve stem cap comprises an inner core with a first end adapted for threaded engagement with the valve stem of a pneumatic tire. An outer sleeve is rotatably mounted about the inner core. Annular flanges at either end of the device are positioned such that the inner core and outer sleeve are locked together. The second end of the inner core forms a solid surface which is provided with keyways for engaging a matched key. By rotating the key, the inner core is rotated, which, in turn, causes the threads of the inner core to be rotated into or out of engagement with the valve stem.

Abstract: A multi-purpose tool for both pulling vehicle steering wheels and compressing lock plates of steering columns has a generally H-shaped main frame with two pairs of opposed and substantially parallel sides. A first threaded opening passes entirely through the approximate center of the frame and through a first pair of opposed sides of the frame. A second opening also passes entirely through the approximate center of the frame and through the second pair of opposed sides, this second opening being positioned in the frame at an angle of about 90.degree. to the first threaded opening. Positioned on both sides of the first opening of the frame is a channel which extends through the frame and runs generally parallel to the first threaded opening. On one of the sides of the frame through which the second opening passes, at least one threaded opening is provided on both sides of the second opening.
