  • Publication number: 20250124554
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods are disclosed to implement seamless switching of dynamic range and/or refresh rate on display devices. An example apparatus disclosed herein causes a display to activate panel self refresh after a command to switch a graphics output from a first dynamic range to a second dynamic range, the graphics output provided to the display. The example apparatus also switches the graphics output from the first dynamic range to the second dynamic range after the panel self refresh is activated. The example apparatus further causes the display to deactivate the panel self refresh after the graphics output is switched to the second dynamic range.

  • Publication number: 20250005891
Abstract: Various embodiments herein provide apparatuses, systems, and methods associated with a region-based power saving scheme for a display, such as an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display. In embodiments, pixels of an image may be allocated to two or more subsets including a first subset that corresponds to a region of interest (ROI). The two or more subsets may further include a second subset that includes some or all of the pixels that are outside of the ROI. A more aggressive power saving scheme may be applied to the second subset compared with the first subset (which may or may not undergo a power saving scheme). In some embodiments, a saturation level of the pixels of the second subset may be increased in addition to the dimming. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 12166797
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and a system for classifying a user for detecting phishing attacks. The system retrieves communication data associated with a plurality of users from a telecom server and creates a user relationship model in a database. The user relationship model comprises a plurality of nodes representing the plurality of users, each node comprises the communication data and an initial reputation score. The system determines one or more senders to the user from the user relationship model and determines a subset of senders based on the initial reputation score of each of the one or more senders. The system updates the user relationship model at least by updating the initial reputation score of the user based on the communication data of each of the subset of senders and classifies the user as one of ‘genuine’ and ‘phishing’ based on the updated user relationship model.

  • Patent number: 12164358
Abstract: Techniques for low-power self-refreshing of a display are disclosed. In the illustrative embodiment, a display receives frames as a base refresh rate, such as from a graphics processor. The graphics processor may determine that the last frame can be displayed for one or more additional frames and place the link to the display in a sleep state. The display can then refresh the last frame on the display. In order to save power, the display can refresh the last frame on the display at a reduced refresh rate, such as at the minimum refresh rate of the display.

  • Patent number: 12026522
Abstract: A database of deployed configurations, as well as attempted configurations that failed is maintained and used as reference to compare against configurations of attempted software deployments. Upon detecting a failed deployment, disclosed embodiments search the database for working configurations that most closely resemble the failed configuration, and rank the configurations based on various criteria. Disclosed embodiments may then automatically select a highest ranked working configuration, and perform an automatic upgrade of the necessary components to create a working configuration.

  • Patent number: 11842168
Abstract: An electronic system includes a mapping circuit configured to receive input samples of a dataset within a defined range of values. The mapping circuit is configured to perform comparisons that compare each input sample to each of a plurality of comparison values selected from the defined range of values. For each comparison, the mapping circuit generates an indication value specifying whether the input sample used in the comparison is greater than or equal to the comparison value used in the comparison. The system includes an adder circuit configured to generate a sum of the indication values for each comparison value and a memory configured to maintain counts corresponding to the comparison values. The counts are updated by the respective sums. The system includes a threshold detection circuit configured to determine, for the dataset, a threshold value or threshold range based on the counts read from the memory.

  • Patent number: 11748382
Abstract: A method provides for classifying data fields of a dataset. A classifier configured for determining confidence values for a plurality of data classes for the data fields may be applied. Using the confidence values, data class candidates may be identified. Data fields may be determined for which a plurality of data class candidates is identifiable. Using previous user-selected data class assignments, a probability may be determined for the data class candidates that the respective data class candidate is a data class to which the respective data field is to be assigned. The data fields may be classified using the probabilities to select for the data fields a data class from the data class candidates. The dataset may be provided with metadata identifying for the data fields the data classes to which the respective data fields are assigned.
