Patent number: 11847626Abstract: Facial recognition is used to allow access to platform-agnostic account information. A processing and verification device receives a request for a transaction requiring access to account information of a user. Responsive to the request, a new image of the user is generated, such as using an image sensor of a camera. The new image is used to query a database to determine whether an existing image stored in the database matches or substantially matches the new image. Responsive to a positive result of the query, the request is allowed by the processing and verification device granting the access to the account information. The access to the account information is then used to complete the transaction. The account information uses a global architecture such that it can be used with different hardware and software configurations of a connected system.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2022Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Inventors: Krishna Vedula, Dennis Yee

Publication number: 20230368131Abstract: A merchandiser device includes a storage area including multiple rows, in which each row includes multiple lanes, and in which each lane is configured to store multiple products. The merchandiser device includes a time of flight sensor positioned for use with a lane and configured to produce sensor output indicative of an event associated with a product stored in the lane. An event associated with the product is detected based on the sensor output. Identifying information for the product is determined based on the sensor output and a planogram of the merchandiser device. A quantity of the product associated with the event is determined based on the sensor output and dimensional information associated with the product. Data configured to cause an update to an inventory record associated with the product is then output based on the identifying information and the quantity.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2022Publication date: November 16, 2023Inventors: Himanshu Vajaria, Krishna Vedula

Publication number: 20230214807Abstract: A request is processed by a control device based on a detected proximity of a client device to the control device. The control device, which is intermediate to the client device and a beacon device, runs application software that receives the request generated using a client application running at the client device. The beacon device, upon receipt of an indication that the control device received the request, transmits a signal to detect a proximity of the client device to the control device. The application software receives data indicative of a response to the signal from the beacon device. The application software allows the request upon a determination that the data reflects the response is received. Alternatively, the application software allows the request upon a determination that the data indicates that the proximity of the client device to the control device satisfies a threshold.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2023Publication date: July 6, 2023Inventors: Chad Francis, Krishna Vedula

Patent number: 11374986Abstract: An embodiment for analyzing user interest in presented content based on capture attempts during a meeting is provided. The embodiment may include receiving presentation content from a meeting host. The embodiment may also include analyzing one or more capture applications on a device of one or more users for a capture event in response to receiving the presentation content from the meeting host. The embodiment may further include in response to determining the capture event has occurred, identifying information relating to the capture event and the one or more users who initiated the capture event. The embodiment may also include presenting the meeting host with the information relating to the capture event and the one or more users who initiated the capture event.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2021Date of Patent: June 28, 2022Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Zachary A. Publication number: 20220142542Abstract: In various examples, a method of conductor management within a medical device includes providing a flexible substrate. The flexible substrate includes at least one routing feature. A hole is cut in the at least one routing feature with a cutting device. A conductor is passed through the hole in the at least one routing feature. The routing feature acts to maintain and manage positioning of the conductor within the medical device. The medical device, in some examples, includes a lead, with the conductor connected to an electrode of the lead after being routed through the routing feature.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2021Publication date: May 12, 2022Inventors: Christopher Mauhar, Hitesh Mehta, Krishna Vedula, Hugh D.
