    Abstract: A process for printing of fabrics to impart a controlled diffused print effect thereon which comprises in printing the fabric with a suitable printing paste having an auxiliary agent which normally has a capillary action, said capillary action being reversed during the step of printing, drying the fabric and then subjecting the fabric to the step of fixing the dye and activation of the capillary action of the auxiliary agent.
