Publication number: 20260129601Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for artificial intelligence-based smart roaming. Some aspects more specifically relate to artificial intelligence-driven based roaming. In some examples, the STA may input one or more parameters related to a current environment of the STA into the machine learning model. In some examples, the machine learning model may generate an output comprising at least a target AP for the STA to associate with. In some examples, the output of the machine learning model may include at least a target AP, a list of candidate APs a corresponding list of RSSI values associated with the list of candidate APs, or any combination thereof. In such examples, the list of candidate APs may include a set of APs located within an environment (such as an operating area) of the STA.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2024Publication date: May 7, 2026Inventors: Chao ZOU, Qiang FAN, Gyanranjan HAZARIKA, Tushnim BHATTACHARYYA, Vikram PHOGAT, Gaurang NAIK, Sai Yiu Duncan HO, George CHERIAN, Vamsi Krishna NAIDU, Krishnakumar MUTHUSAMY, Om Prakash TRIPATHI, Yogesh SHEKAR, Srinivas KATAR, Sandip HOMCHAUDHURI, Ye YUAN

Publication number: 20260129520Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless device may transmit a first request message that requests preparation of a service transition from a first access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) to a second AP MLD among one or more candidate AP MLDs. The wireless device may receive a first response message that indicates that one candidate AP MLD, among the candidate AP MLDs, is the second AP MLD prepared for the service transition. The wireless device may transmit a second request message to the first AP MLD or the second AP MLD. The wireless device may receive a second response message that indicates completion of the service transition to the second AP MLD and that the second AP MLD is ready for data communications. Numerous other aspects are described.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2025Publication date: May 7, 2026Inventors: Giovanni CHISCI, Abhishek Pramod PATIL, Sai Yiu Duncan HO, Alfred ASTERJADHI, Gaurang NAIK, Sanket Sanjay KALAMKAR, Sherief HELWA, George CHERIAN, Krishnakumar MUTHUSAMY, Yogesh SHEKAR, Vikram PHOGAT, Tushnim BHATTACHARYYA

Patent number: 12452652Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for establishing and maintaining connectivity between access points (APs) that provide multiple BSSID sets and wireless stations (STAs) that do not support enhanced multiple BSSID advertisement (EMA). In some implementations, a wireless communication device may transmit a burst of beacon frames each carrying a respective partial list of nontransmitted BSSID profiles for a multiple BSSID set. In such implementations, the bursts of beacon frames may be transmitted periodically such that the start of each burst occurs one beacon interval after the start of a prior burst. In some other implementations, a wireless communication device may broadcast multiple beacon frames each carrying a full set of nontransmitted BSSID profiles associated with a respective multiple BSSID set. In such implementations, each beacon frame may be periodically broadcast every beacon interval.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2023Date of Patent: October 21, 2025Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Gyanranjan Hazarika, Viren Umrigar, Vinod Nagarajan, Dinesh Upadhyay, Krishnakumar Muthusamy

Publication number: 20250203444Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques that may enable an AP to perform hybrid channel management, in which the AP considers a service metric (e.g., QoS/SLA) to adjust a set of channels of a client when a breach condition is detected.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2023Publication date: June 19, 2025Inventors: Aditya SATHISH, Gyanranjan HAZARIKA, Krishnakumar MUTHUSAMY, Sandip HOMCHAUDHURI

Publication number: 20240284530Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for communicating information of multiple wireless access points (APs) affiliated with an AP multi-link device (MLD). Some aspects more specifically relate to techniques for communicating information regarding multiple APs affiliated with an AP MLD in multiple response frames. In some examples, a first response frame may include information regarding a first set of APs that is less than all of the APs indicated by a wireless station (STA) MLD request and a second response frame may include information regarding a second set of APs including one or more AP of the APs missing from the first set of APs. Some examples may additionally or alternatively provide for an AP MLD signaling an indication of a number of allowed association links with respect to the AP MLD, such as for establish a maximum number of allowed association links.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2023Publication date: August 22, 2024Inventors: Gyanranjan Hazarika, Abhishek Pramod Patil, Sandip HomChaudhuri, Krishnakumar Muthusamy, Uraj Singh Sasan, Gaurang Naik

Publication number: 20230354298Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for reducing beacon bloat, inefficient spectrum use, and coupling of multi-link transmission element (MLTE) with a traffic indication map (TIM) element. In certain aspects, an MLTE may be transmitted by an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) in a frame separate from the beacon frame to reduce the size of the beacon frame. In such an example, the beacon frame may provide an indication to a non-AP MLD that is should remain awake to receive data. In certain aspects, the AP may transmit multiple MLTEs to reduce the amount of bandwidth used for MLTE transmission by cutting out non-AP MLDs and other stations (STAs) that do not have buffered data. In certain aspects, the AP may assign each non-AP MLD capable of transmission identifier (TID)-to-link mapping (TID2LM) with a per-link traffic indication bitmap (PLTIB) to decouple the MLTE from the TIM element.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2022Publication date: November 2, 2023Inventors: Gyanranjan HAZARIKA, Krishna Chaitanya RAO, Abhishek Pramod PATIL, Kiran VENKATAPPA, Sandip HOMCHAUDHURI, Srinivas PITLA, Shashikala Baila PRABHU, Krishnakumar MUTHUSAMY
