Publication number: 20240087699Abstract: Various of the disclosed embodiments provide Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for reviewing prior surgical procedures. Specifically, the GUI may allow a user, such as surgeon, to review sensor data, including video data, acquired during various of the surgeon's past surgical procedures. Some sensor data may be organized into metrics referred to herein as objective performance indicators (OPIs). Similarly, procedures may be discretized into specific tasks. By organizing and presenting data in OPI form at the task level, the GUI may facilitate efficient and coordinated review of the surgeon's progress over time across multiple procedures. In some embodiments, corresponding data from expert surgeons may also presented in the interface so that the user may gauge the surgeon's relative performance.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2022Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Kristen Brown, Anthony Jarc, Yihan Bao, Xi Liu, Huan Phan, Linlin Zhou

Publication number: 20230317258Abstract: Various of the disclosed embodiments relate to computer systems and computer-implemented methods for measuring and monitoring surgical performance, For example, the system may receive raw data acquired from the surgical theater, generate and select features from the data amenable to analysis, and then train a machine learning classifier using the selected features to facilitate subsequent assessment of other surgeons' performances. Generation and selection of the features may itself involve application of a machine learning classifier in some embodiments. While some embodiments contemplate raw data acquired from surgical robotic systems, some embodiments facilitate assessments upon data acquired from non-robotic surgical theaters.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2021Publication date: October 5, 2023Inventors: Kristen Brown, Kiran Bhattacharyya, Anthony Michael Jarc, Sue Kulason, Linlin Zhou, Aneeq Zia

Publication number: 20220047815Abstract: A plunger configured as described herein provides geometry optimizations to minimize friction magnitude and variability during use by maintaining low deformation under large extrusion forces. More specifically, plunger embodiments described herein minimize a contact area between the plunger and a syringe or chamber, while also maintaining high contract pressures to maintain container closure integrity. Moreover, the plunger embodiments are configured to have minimal or no increase in the contact area under high loads associated with the delivery of viscous products.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2021Publication date: February 17, 2022Inventors: Julian Jazayeri, Ronald Forster, Jolita Seckute, Olivia Alice Henderson, Kristen Brown, Gregory Gordon, Rasmus Ohlenschlaeger, Peter Dan Kaare Soelberg

Publication number: 20130097033Abstract: A computer-based method for receiving purchase transaction data generated by a retailer system triggered by an identification device that is part of one or more reusable bags used by a user to carry goods purchased during the purchase transaction. The user is a student or student family member affiliated with a school or other community-based group. A reuse program server receives identification information provided by the identification device that signals the purchase transaction, updates reuse indicator information for the school; calculates a current savings to the school associated with the use of the reusable carrier; and transmits information indicating the current savings to a display device accessible to the user or to representatives of the school.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2011Publication date: April 18, 2013Inventors: Kristen Brown, Mikel Eisenberg

Patent number: 7992879Abstract: A reusable packaging system includes a series of four bags, each designed to be reusable and capable of standing upright when in an open state. The bags are constructed so that they will fit in an open state within a shopping cart, and differ progressively in size so that they can be nested inside of each other for storage. The nested bags are then folded to form a compact, single package which can be easily transported by a user to a store for shopping.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2009Date of Patent: August 9, 2011Inventors: Mikel Eisenberg, Kristen Brown
