  • Patent number: 11746923
Abstract: A control valve and a membrane for a moving a valve disk of a control valve between a first position and a second position are provided. The membrane has a central axis perpendicular to an extension plane of the membrane. The membrane includes an outer annular rim portion, a central portion configured to be connected the valve disk, and a flexible portion that is annular and provided between the central portion and the outer annular rim portion. The membrane is flexible to permit the central portion to move back and forth along the central axis, thereby permitting the valve disk to move to one of the first position and the second position. The membrane is designed with an inherent pre-tensioning of the flexible portion, which permits the membrane to exert a force on the valve disk from the first position towards the second position.

  • Patent number: 8286584
Abstract: A method for improving the throughput of milking animals in a rotary milking system including a rotary platform, which milking animals enter and leave in a sequential order in order to be milked provides that a plurality of milking animals to be milked by the rotary milking system are identified; a measure indicative of the expected time required for performing at least one action on the rotary platform with respect to each of the milking animals is retrieved; and the milking animals are allowed to enter the rotary platform of the rotary milking system in an order, which is based on the measures indicative of the expected times required for performing the at least one action on the rotary platform with respect to the milking animals.

  • Patent number: 6850591
Abstract: An x-ray diagnostic device for mammogram examinations has an arm for an x-ray tube and a subject table as well as a compression plate arranged between the x-ray tube and the subject table that is connected to the arm and that is displaceable along this arm. The arm is rotatably mounted at a stand for an optimal compression of the breast with a simultaneous reduction of the pain cause by the compression, an arrangement for vibrating the compression plate during the compression procedure is provided.

  • Patent number: 6577703
Abstract: An X-ray diagnostics apparatus for mammography examinations has an arm for an X-ray tube and a subject table and a compression plate arranged between the X-ray tube and the subject table. The compression plate is connected via a mount to the arm and is displaceable along the arm. The compression plate is connected to the mount so that the compression plate is rotatable relative to the subject table in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the plate. The examination apparatus generates a pressure against the breast under examination that is automatically uniformly distributed over the breast in an optimum way, by connecting the compression plate to the mount with at least one resilient connecting element in at least one connecting point.
