Abstract: Embodiments are directed to providing a graphical interface for annotating an electronic document, receiving, from a user, an annotation to the electronic document via the interface, associating the annotation to the electronic document with a annotation identifier, the annotation identifier comprising a credential associated with the user, a unique identifier for the electronic document, and metadata associated with the electronic document, and storing the annotation with the annotation identifier.

Abstract: A computing device transmits a help key code from a terminal emulator to a remote mainframe application while a cursor within a display of the terminal emulator is over a visible field. The computing device monitors a hidden field within the display of the terminal emulator for an update. The update comprises text received from the remote mainframe application responsive to the help key code. Responsive to the update, the computing device performs a search using the text as a search term.

Abstract: A user terminal executes a control application that generates and outputs a plurality of windows to a user terminal within a single emulator session and under a single user login. Each window corresponds to a particular application executing at the mainframe, and is sizable and immovable relative to the other windows. The control application translates application-independent commands into application-specific commands for the applications, and outputs those application-specific commands to those applications.

Abstract: Embodiment of the disclosure are directed to identifying, for a first document, a subject matter to which the first document pertains; identifying a first unique identifier for the first document associated with the identified subject matter, the first unique identifier comprising a subject matter identifier and a language identifier and a version identifier; and tagging the first document with the first unique identifier. Embodiments are also directed to identifying a second document using at least part of the first unique identifier, the second document comprising a second unique identifier, the second unique identifier comprising a same subject matter identifier as the first unique identifier; and providing an access interface to the second document. Embodiments are also directed to receiving a request through the access interface to the second document; accessing a database associated with the second document; and retrieving the second document from the database associated with the second document.
