  • Publication number: 20210172119
Abstract: The present invention concerns a process for the dissolution of cellulose using an enzymatic treatment, followed by a chemical dissolution. Particularly, the invention relates to the utilization of oxidizing enzymes for said enzyme treatment step. The process of the invention will cause an improved dissolution of high molar mass cellulose fibres. The improved dissolution properties also cause an improved reactivity of the cellulose in subsequent reactions.

  • Publication number: 20090053364
Abstract: Low-ingredient meat products, which contain a reduced amount of salt, phosphate and/or meat, generally have poor texture and water-binding properties. The texture and water binding of such a product may be significantly improved with tyrosinase, which is a protein cross-linking enzyme. The invention is directed to a method of preparing a low-ingredient meat product by adding tyrosinase, and to a low-ingredient meat product modified by tyrosinase.

  • Patent number: 7183090
Abstract: The invention relates to a new laccase enzyme, which can be isolated from the strains of the Melanocarpus genus, the M. albomyces strain in particular. The pH optimum of the enzyme is within 5–8 and the enzyme works at a temperature of 30–80° C. The isoelectric point of the enzyme is about 4.0 as determined by isoelectric focusing and the molecular weight about 80 kDa, defined by SDS-PAGE. The enzyme is especially well suited to applications, wherein the pH and temperature conditions are high. The invention also relates to a gene that encodes laccase enzyme, and a laccase enzyme produced by recombinant technology.
