Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer program products are provided for responsive transactions. An example method includes receiving device data of a first user device associated with a first user and determining a critical event of the first user based upon the device data. The method further includes acquiring financial profile parameters of a first user profile associated with the first user and generating a responsive financial transaction based upon the critical event and the financial profile parameters. The method also include effectuating the responsive financial transaction and/or generate a user notification that includes the responsive financial transaction.

Abstract: A system and method of managing a project implemented on a server system includes providing a database having at least one project that has first and second identifiers that are different. The project retains project items that have any combination of said first and second identifiers. At least one first identifier is interconnected to at least one of said second identifier in each said project item. Selecting a first project identifier from said project shows project items containing the selected project identifier as a first display. Selecting a second project identifier from said first display shows project items containing said selected second project identifier as a second display. The project items shown in said second display may include at least one of said project items from said first display. Spec sheets or the like can be produced from the first and/or second displays.

Abstract: Systems and methods for organization may be provided, such as for when building a home or tackling a remodeling project. A user may have the ability to upload and tag images of selections, track the budget for a home project, manage the timeline, print or otherwise transmit spec sheets to an architect or builder, export the project to another platform, and/or share the project with others using an Internet-based application. The application may be a mobile application that may be accessed by a user over the Internet via his/her mobile phone or tablet. Accordingly, a user may access information related to the home building or remodeling project while on the go, such as at the home site, during meetings with builders/architects/interior designers, and/or at a home goods store when searching for materials related to the project.

Abstract: Wearables are provided that prevent—or at least greatly reduce the risk of—mosquito bites by having repellent within the mesh tightly bonded into the actual fibers of the fabric, thereby providing built-in protection from mosquitoes, ticks and other potentially dangerous biting insects. These wearables may be both practical and fashion-forward in design so that humans will be less likely to object to wearing them. Wearables may include track suits, jackets and wraps; however, wearables may take different forms, including but not limited to, pant coverings, wrist bands, hats, scarves, and patches. These wearables may be worn when participating in various outdoor activities, including, but not limited to, playing, bike riding, and camping. These wearables also may be breathable and easy to put on and take off, as well as appealing in appearance.

Abstract: An enhanced frame buffet pixel circuit with two control transistors and a separate capacitor put in as a memory capacitor before the memory transistor yields a high contrast ratio by removing induced charge and solving a charge sharing problem between the memory capacitor and the liquid crystal display (LCD) capacitor. The memory transistor may be made of either CMOS or PMOS. The frame buffer pixel can be used to drive binary displays which expresses ON and OFF only if a comparator is put in after the pixel electrode circuit to represent gray levels with reduced sub-frame frequency.

Abstract: A portable computer includes an adjuster for varying the throw distance of a projected image. The computer include a housing, a screen connected to the housing, and an image projector coupled to the housing in alignment with the screen. The screen has at least one size dimension that is different from a corresponding size dimension of the housing. In order to achieve the reduced size dimension, the screen may be foldable into a predetermined number of sections. The adjuster varies throw distance by moving the screen relative to the projector. The movement may be manually or automatically initiated and the screen may be adapted to be stored within the device housing when not in use.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display system in which a pair of transmission displays are used with a light source, and coupling optics to provide a small, high resolution optically efficient color imaging system. A preferred embodiment of the system comprises a color shutter to control color transmission through each liquid crystal display.

Abstract: This invention provides a multipass Solc filter which utilizes liquid crystal variable retarders to provide high resolution and tunability. The Solc polarization-interference effects are used synergistically with the Fabry-Perot cavity resonances. The cavity comprises a central retarder, two quarter wave plates, and an optional isotropic spacer. The central retarder or the isotropic spacer can include liquid crystal cells to provide tuning of the Solc envelope or the cavity resonances respectively. In one embodiment the variable retarder is a three element quarter-half-quarter device with a liquid crystal electro-optically rotatable half-wave plate. Reflection mode configurations are introduced wherein, because of the bilateral symmetry of the Solc filter, it is possible to use only half of the intracavity elements. Criteria for designing filter parameters to meet resolution, out-of-band discrimination, and tuning range requirements are provided.
