  • Publication number: 20230071660
Abstract: The devices, systems, and methods include a catheter including a flexible tube having a proximal end and a distal end, the catheter defining a lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The tube defines a plurality of slits. The distal end of the tube includes an atraumatic tip configured to be advanced through an opening in a skull to a target treatment site within the brain. A detachable connector is attached to the proximal end of the tube. Upon delivery of a fluid to the catheter from an external fluid source, the slits in the tube are responsive to pressure of the fluid within the catheter, by the slits opening to disperse the fluid from the lumen of the tube. The slits are responsive to a drop in pressure of the fluid within the catheter, by the slits closing.
