  • Publication number: 20220407672
Abstract: There is presented a method for a network node for reducing interference in a wireless device (200), the wireless device operating using a time division duplex, TDD, configuration in a cell, from at least another wireless device operating in a neighbouring cell using another TDD configuration. The TDD configuration is divided into different time units for at least downlink, DL, and uplink, UL, transmission. The method includes assigning time units in the TDD configuration to one of at least two time unit groups, where the assignment of a time unit to a time unit group is based the interference from the neighboring cell using the another TDD configuration. The method further includes using different link adaptions for the at least two time unit groups. The is also presented a network node.

  • Patent number: 9191895
Abstract: A method for use in a cellular system with a controlling node and user terminals, UEs. In the system, UEs can assume one of at least two states, a non-listening state, i.e. a state during which a UE does not listen for data from its controlling node, and a listening state, an “on duration” state. According to the method a UE in the system is able to alternate between said two states according to a certain scheme, the scheme according to which a UE in the system alternates between said two states being dependent on whether or not data units which are transmitted between the UE and its controlling node are received entirely and correctly within an initially allocated resource for each data unit.

  • Patent number: 9113385
Abstract: The invention relates to a method in a source radio base station (14) for enabling a handover of a connection to a user equipment (13) from a source cell (11) to a target cell (17). The source radio base station (14) serves the source cell (11) and is comprised in a radio communications network (100). The source radio base station receives (802) at least a first segment of a measurement report from the user equipment (13), which measurement report indicates received signal power of signals of neighboring cells. The source radio base station then determines (803) a transmission time of the segment of the measurement report and compares (804) the transmission time with a predefined time threshold value. When the transmission time has exceeded the time threshold value, the source radio base station determines (806) whether to perform the handover based on the at least first segment of the measurement report.

  • Patent number: 8948206
Abstract: Quality of service information (QoSI) is included with a compressed header of a data packet and can be utilized by nodes supporting the header compression channel to perform QoS enforcements at a sub-flow granularity level. A basic mode of a method comprises (1) processing a packet using a process having a process-associated quality of service requirement to form a processed packet, and (2) including, with a compressed header for the processed packet, the header-included quality of service information which is derived using information indicative of the process-associated quality of service requirement. In another mode the header-included quality of service information is derived both from the process-associated quality of service requirement and quality of service information extracted from the received packet.

  • Patent number: 8675492
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a base station (14, 700) for load balancing in Semi-Persistent Scheduling, SPS transmission. The method can comprise to activate downlink or uplink SPS transmission for a User Equipment (12, step 204), and to obtain information about transmission load comprising SPS transmission or HARQ ACK/NACK responses to SPS transmissions, on a Physical Shared or Control Channel (steps 206; 402; 406; 502, 504, 508, 510). Based on the obtained information it is determined for which subframe within a duration of T subframes, the transmission load comprising SPS transmission or HARQ ACK/NACK response to SPS transmissions, on a Physical Shared Channel or on a Physical Control Channel is the lowest within the duration of T subframes (steps 208; 404; 408; 506, 512, 514).

  • Patent number: 8532009
Abstract: A method for use in a cellular system with at least one controlling node, eNodeB, which controls user terminals, UEs, in a cell. According to the method, a UE can be in one of at least two different states, an idle state, a DRX state, and an “on duration” state. A UE can receive at least a first and a second type of traffic from its eNodeB. If the first type of traffic is received by a UE during an on duration period, the UE assumes the idle (DRX) state at the end of the on duration period, and if the second type of traffic is received by the UE during an on duration period, the UE prolongs the current on duration period by a certain amount of time.

  • Patent number: 8422435
Abstract: A method of operating a base station node (21) comprises obtaining an indication of degradation of a radio link connection between the base station node and the user equipment unit (UE) which is carried by the a high speed packet channel (HSDPA). In accordance with the distance indication, the transmission priority for the radio link connection is modified. Preferably the indication of degradation is a distance indication of distance of a user equipment unit (23) involved in the radio link connection from the base station node (21). The transmission priority can be modified for one or both of downlink and uplink transmissions for the user equipment unit (UE). Preferably the transmission priority is modified for the radio link connection, e.g., for the user equipment unit (UE), as a function of the indication.
