    Abstract: Some embodiments described herein relate to an apparatus, such as an inserter, having a housing and a needle at least partially disposed within the housing. An actuator can be coupled to the needle and configured to move the needle between an actuated configuration and a retracted configuration. A wire can be at least partially disposed within the needle. The wire can be fixedly and immovably coupled to the housing. In some embodiments a biosensor can be disposed within the needle and the apparatus can be configured to deliver or implant the biosensor to a patient, for example, under the patient's skin. The biosensor can constructed of a non-rigid material, such as hydrogel. In some embodiments, the apparatus can be configured to deliver or implant the biosensor without applying a force to the biosensor.

    Abstract: A handheld radiation delivery system is disclosed that includes a two-part delivery module comprising a reusable portion that contains a radioactive source wire and a disposable portion that includes a drive assembly for moving the radioactive source wire between storage and treatment positions. A disposable applicator tip is provided that includes a cannula for receiving the radioactive source wire when in the treatment position and a mechanism for limiting the number of uses of the device. A handheld cable actuator is operatively connected to the disposable portion of the handpiece to impart motion to the source wire.

The axle and wheel assembly includes a novel axle mounting system that is adapted to hold several short axles instead of one long axle which spans the entire width of the transporter. The axle and wheel assembly also includes a novel wheel attachment system which allows wheel attachment and removal without the use of tools and prevents the wheels from accidentally disengaging from the axle.
