  • Patent number: 9397932
Abstract: A network routing system is described herein. The network routing system comprises a traffic router and a plurality of proxy gateways. The traffic router is configured to receive at least one request for a network object from a requester. The request includes a network address of a target web host. One or more proxy servers from a plurality of proxy servers are assigned to each proxy gateway. In operation, if there is a proxy server having a current connection with the target web host, the traffic router selects the proxy server and forwards the request to a proxy gateway that the proxy server is assigned to. In operation, the proxy gateway receives the request for the network object, converts the request into a translated request based on a protocol type of the proxy server, and sends the translated request to the proxy server.

  • Publication number: 20150363873
Abstract: Techniques for a product search grid are disclosed herein. The method for presenting a grid includes receiving data in association with a plurality of products from one or more merchant websites; presenting a data grid including cells based on the data, wherein each cell of the cells represents a product of the products or a replacement of a product of the products; displaying information regarding the products or the replacements of the products in the cells; and updating the contents of cells of the data grid automatically in real time in response to new data received from the merchant websites.

  • Publication number: 20150278382
Abstract: A system and method for mapping an input uniform resource identifier (URI) to an entry in a database. The system cleans an input URI to produce a prime URI that references an entry in a database. The prime URI is created by applying a regular expression determined for a particular domain to the input URI. Once the prime URI is generated, the prime URI can be used to retrieve information from a database.

  • Publication number: 20140279189
Abstract: Techniques for recommending similar products are disclosed herein. The method of recommending similar products includes receiving a positive input from a user, the positive input indicating that the user accepts that a first product is similar to a second product; determining, by a database, one or more specification keys of the first product that a database record of the second product contain; for each of the specification keys, increasing a weight counter for the specification key in response to the positive input; calculating a closeness score between the first and second products based on values of the specification keys of the first product, values of the specification keys of the second product, and weight counters for the specification keys; and recommending the first product as a replacement of the second product based on the closeness score.

  • Publication number: 20140249964
Abstract: The techniques introduced here provide a method of gathering ecommerce data. The techniques described here allow a system to return information about a product from several non-related ecommerce sites in response to a single search query. Using the techniques described here, a data mining system determines from the search query a product ID and retrieves from a database one or more product links that correspond to the product ID. Using the product links retrieved from the database, the data mining system traverses the links and parses the web-pages corresponding each of the links to determine up to date product information. The product information can then be returned to the application that initiated the request.
