  • Publication number: 20180049594
Abstract: A food preparation appliance has a base, a blade member rotatable in a direction of rotation, and a container with a closed bottom, an open top and a tubular sidewall together defining an interior space of the container. The top of the container is configured for releasable connection with the base, with the blade member disposed within the interior space of the container. The sidewall has a rib projecting inward of the interior space of the container and extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the sidewall from the top of the container toward the bottom of the container. The rib has, in the direction of rotation of the blade member, a peak defined as the shortest transverse dimension measured from the center of the container to the sidewall at a respective height along the portion of the sidewall having the rib, the rib being asymmetric in transverse cross-section.

  • Patent number: 9814357
Abstract: In a container and method for processing food, the container has a closed end, and open end and a tubular sidewall extending therebetween and together with the closed end defining an interior space of the container. The container is configured to accommodate a blade member within the interior space of the container. The container has a center and the sidewall has at least one rib projecting inward of the interior space of the container and extending heightwise along at least a portion of the sidewall. The rib is asymmetric in transverse cross-section. A blade member is also disclosed and is configured to have different planes in which the blade member moves upon rotation of the blade.

  • Publication number: 20170274260
Abstract: The curling broom head is composed of a fabric section, flexible section, lower body, upper body, and a stem or stem assembly that is used to attach the broom head to the broom handle. The fabric section is a stand-alone piece of fabric that can easily be removed and replaced by the user. The fabric section is wrapped around the flexible section and lower body and is secured into place and ready for game play when the lower body is attached to the upper body. At any time, the curling fabric may be easily replaced by separating the upper and lower bodies, removing the old fabric from the lower body and replacing it with new fabric. The curling broom handle is an elongated member that is attached to the broom head on one end. A removable device(s) is attached or secured to the broom handle at a desired height and provide an easier profile to grip and/or extra surface area to exert downward force.

  • Publication number: 20170224170
Abstract: An improved blender or food processor is provided that moves a blade translationally in the vertical plane while another blade or blade assembly rotates in the horizontal plane to stop the blender from cavitating the contents while blending viscous fluids (an air pocket from forming around the cutting blades or forming a vortex or a disruptive vacuum). Both actions of rotating the lower blades and translationally moving the upper blade are done simultaneously using one motor. In a related embodiment, rotational and translational movements are provided with decoupled gear assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20160338541
Abstract: A food preparation appliance generally comprises a handle, a blade member operatively coupled to the handle and rotatable about a rotation axis. A first shroud is coaxial with the blade member and defines a blade chamber in which the blade member is at least in part disposed. A second shroud is coaxial with the first shroud. The first shroud has an upper side opening through which food processed by the blade member within the blade chamber of the first shroud may exit the blade chamber. The second shroud is positioned and configured relative to the first shroud such that food exiting the blade chamber through the upper side opening contacts the second shroud.
