  • Patent number: 9288621
Abstract: Providing a contextual reminder to a mobile station includes determining a locus of the mobile station based on the position of the mobile station in both time and space. A first entry is read, where the first entry can be at least a task or an event. Both tasks and events can include a time, a date, and/or a location. The locus and the first entry can be compared to determine if the contextual reminder should be provided to the mobile station. The contextual reminder can be provided to the mobile station based on the comparison. The reminder can be provided when at least one of the time, the date and the geographical position of the mobile station is proximate to at least one of the time, date, and location of the entry.

  • Patent number: 9049583
Abstract: A mobile device identifies whether potentially distracting applications are running on the mobile device as well as the activity of the user, via at least one sensor on the mobile device. If it is determined that at least one potentially distracting application is running and the user is engaged in an activity that may become dangerous due to use of the at least one potentially distracting application, a warning is provided on a user output of the mobile device when the mobile device is within a predetermined time and/or distance of an identified hazard.

  • Patent number: 8923888
Abstract: A method is provided for offering content recommendations to a mobile station based on a current location of the mobile station. Records of one or more other mobile stations within a distance of the location at a set time frame can be identified. In association with the location of the other mobile station, identification of the time at which that other mobile station was at the location can be recorded. For each identified record of another mobile station, a search query or a result is then identified. In association with the location of the other mobile station, identifications of the search and/or result resident on that other mobile station can be recorded. The response to an inquiry from the mobile station is a recommendation that includes information about the identified search query and/or result resident on one or more of the other mobile stations.
