The electronic device includes a touch unit including a plurality of touch pixels, a display unit, and a sensing unit including a plurality of sensing pixels. The method includes receiving a finger touch signal through the touch unit, determining a finger touch region in the touch unit, determining a first region in the display unit, determining a sensing region in the sensing unit, wherein the sensing region is overlapped with the finger touch region, and receiving the fingerprint data through the sensing unit, wherein a density of a part of the plurality of touch pixels in the finger touch region is less than a density of a part of the plurality of sensing pixels in the sensing region.
