  • Patent number: 6905617
Abstract: This specification discloses an etching method for making fluid bearings. The invention uses an ejection axis as the mask of the bearing cast. A protection material is inserted into the inner diameter of the fluid bearing, producing a protection pattern. After pulling out the ejection axis, the bearing cast is etched to form a desired oil groove in the inner diameter. Afterwards, the etching solution is washed away and the protection pattern is removed. The invention can be easily integrated with existing manufacturing procedures, achieving the goal of mass production and lowering costs. In addition, the invention can avoid such problems as rough edges as in the prior art. At the same time, the disclosed method makes the radial and stop parts of the fluid bearing, simplifying the manufacturing procedure.

  • Publication number: 20040126040
Abstract: A fluid dynamic bearing module for cooling fans connects the fixed part and the rotating part of a cooling fan and provides lubrication and support when the rotating part rotates relative to the fixed part. In the design of the invention the fluid dynamic bearing is a module that utilizes a bearing seat, a wear-resistant element and an anti-lift element to make the bearing module leak-proof, lift-proof, wear-resistant and able to create a balance of the lubricant and air.

  • Publication number: 20030093902
Abstract: The specification discloses a device and method for manufacturing fluid bearings. The invention utilizes the electromagnetic forming method to manufacturing fluid bearings. The method uses a high speed plastic forming means to produce a dynamic pressure generating groove on the internal peripheral surface of the bearing. It further makes use of different thermal expansion coefficients for an internal mold and a raw sleeve to perform separation from the mold. Through the above-mentioned process, fluid bearings can be successfully made. This method can effectively prevent the problem springback and crease of the material during formation.
