    Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a mobility management method in a macro-assisted communication system and related apparatuses using the same method. According to one of the exemplary embodiments, the disclosure is directed to a mobility management method applicable to a user equipment in a macro-assisted communication system. The method would include not limited to: measuring a beam quality of a first wireless connection; receiving a preamble in response to the beam quality being below a threshold; performing a beam search on a random access channel in response to receiving the preamble; transmitting a measurement report which comprises a result of the beam search; and receiving a handover information from the first wireless connection to a second wireless connection in response to transmitting the measurement report.
