  • Publication number: 20120083016
Abstract: A method of creating a biotechnological product and an efficient and stable bio-luminescence vector which could be used for tracking Gram-negative bacteria when distributing inside animal body are provided. Through conjugation, this auto-luminescence vector can be easily transmitted from bacteria to bacteria among Gram-negative bacteria, and may facilitate bacteria to be luminescence-labeled for subsequently analyzing the dynamic change of bio-luminescent bacteria within animal body in vivo. This system includes a lacZ promoter-driven luxABCDE, a high copy number of ColE1 replicon, and a high plasmid stability of the conjugative and broad host-ranged plasmid pSE34 from Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis Sal550. This resulting construct pSE-Lux1 can not only conjugatively transmit among bacteria with broad host range, but also stably maintain in bacteria to efficiently express the bio-luminescent luxABCDE without supplementing the subtract for luciferases and the antibiotics for plasmid selection.

  • Publication number: 20110314538
Abstract: A computing system and method providing normal security services and high security services are disclosed. The computing system includes hardware resources, a processor core and an access right checker. The hardware resources are grouped into resource security levels. The processor, switching between a normal security and a high security state, assigns a user access right to a request. In comparison with the normal security state, user access right assigned in the high security state further allows the request to use the hardware resources of a higher resource security level. According to the assigned user access right and the resource security levels of required hardware resources of the request, the access right checker determines whether the request has the authority to use the hardware resources, and thereby, the access right checker executes the request or responds the issued request with an exception.

  • Publication number: 20110107426
Abstract: A method of providing normal security services and high security services with a single operating system in a computing system is disclosed. A secure thread is only accessible while the computing system is in a high security environment, and relates to one of the high security services. A pseudo normal thread is to be executed while the computing system in a normal security environment, and it works as a temporary of the secure thread, and is forwarded to a thread ordering service to gain access to resources of the computing system. When the pseudo normal thread gains access to the computing system resources, the computing system is changed to the high security environment to execute the secure thread.

  • Patent number: 7788679
Abstract: A method, system, computer system, and computer program product provide a context-sensitive user interface. The context in which the user interface operates is used to predict a media type of a communication channel that can be used for communicating via the user interface. Examples of media types include telephone, web chat, and web collaboration. The communication is facilitated according to the media type predicted. For example, an object of the user interface can be activated to enable communication according to the media type, or the user interface can initiate the communication via the communication channel. The user interface can be used for communicating with multiple communication channels of different media types. The context can include data presented by the user interface, data entered using the user interface, data selected using the user interface, and an action performed using the user interface.
