  • Publication number: 20120275187
Abstract: The invention relates to an LGP and a back light module thereof, wherein the LGP comprises a light input surface, a bottom surface and a light output surface opposite to the bottom surface, and is characterized in that the bottom surface and/or the light output surface is provided with a plurality of microstructures, distribution rules for microstructures along the direction parallel to the light input surface of the LGP are: the microstructures in the middle of the LGP are closely arranged, and the microstructures on the two sides are sparsely arranged. In the LGP provided in the invention, the light output in the direction parallel to the light input surface can reach the brightness distribution with high middle and low edges, thereby achieving higher efficiency of light energy utilization.

  • Publication number: 20120249922
Abstract: A backlight module is disclosed in the present invention. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate comprises a light incident surface, and the light source is disposed adjacent to the light incident surface. The backlight module further comprises a protruding part, which abuts against the light incident surface to define a distance between the light source and the light incident surface. The present invention further discloses a liquid crystal display (LCD) device, which is provided with the aforesaid backlight module. Because the backlight module of the present invention is provided with a protruding part that effectively defines a distance between the light source and the light incident surface of the light guide plate, the light coupling efficiency of the backlight module is remarkably optimized.

  • Patent number: 4965458
Abstract: An apparatus for translating oracle-bone scripture style characters into formal style characters, and for translating formal style characters into oracle-bone scripture style characters includes a scanner for scanning printed characters and for providing a digital representation of the thus scanned printer characters. The printed characters are one of either the oracle-bone scripture style characters or the formal style characters. An oracle-bone scripture style and formal style character stroke feature analysis and learning unit is provided for extracting a feature of each scanned printed character, and for storing into an oracle-bone scripture style and formal style feature space storage device the thus extracted features of each scanned printed character according to a learning and analysis process.

  • Patent number: 4850026
Abstract: A Chinese multifont recognition system, in which a scanner can input Chinese character pattern data into a recognition system to recognize all characters to complete the chinese input operation. The recognition system can recognize various printed fonts and chinese characters in various sizes. The recognition method is arranged that all the Chinese characters to be recognized are to be put in the system; all the features of a Chinese character are extracted, and stored in a feature data base. Later, any input Chinese character will recognized in accordance with the data base. Since it is a technique of extracting the features of a character pattern, the system can recognize the multifont Chinese characters. If it is necessary to expand the number of characters in the data base established originally, a character feature learning system may be used for storing new characters therein.
