Abstract: An image display and touch input integration module includes a keyboard microcontroller connected to an image memory, a touch module, and a display module, and selectively operable in a touch mode or a display mode. The image memory has at least one image data stored thereon. The touch module defines a touch area therein. The display module is integrated with the touch module and defines a display area therein for displaying image data read by the keyboard microcontroller from the image memory. When the keyboard microcontroller operates in the touch mode, the touch module functions as an input device of a computer apparatus; and when the keyboard microcontroller operates in the display mode, image data read by it from the image memory is displayed in the display area of the display module.

Abstract: A switch protection apparatus, having a switch, which is a slidable power switch to turn on and off the power source. The switch has a retainer ring mounted at a periphery of the switch in a portable computer to encircle the switch. The retainer is rotatable and has an opening for locking the switch and preventing the switch from being turned on accidentally. When the retainer is rotated to an open position, the opening is aligned with the slidable path of the switch, such that the switch can slide through the opening to turn on or off the power source. When the retainer ring is rotated away from the open position, the switch cannot slide through the retainer ring to turn on or off the power source.

Abstract: A notebook computer in which power is generated by either alternating current power supply or external force. The notebook computer has a computer mainframe, a display, a battery, a first A/D transforming device coupled to the computer mainframe for transforming the alternating current power supply to a first direct current voltage, a power generator having an external force transmission device for generating an induced voltage by external force, and a constant voltage regulator to generate a regulated voltage by regulating the first direct current voltage and the induced voltage. In the notebook computer, external force transmission device further provides a rotatable shaft and a crank disposed on the shaft for applying external force. Further, the power generator can be a DC generator or an AC generator with a second A/D transforming device.
