  • Patent number: 6893594
Abstract: Novel window and patio door frame members are formed by an extrusion process that provide these members with at least one channel and with an outer weather resistant surface and an internal imitation wood surface together with integrated sealing strips formed in the channels for the doors, these components being fully integrated. The process is carried out by extruding a foamed profile with a channel through a first die therein having reduced dimensions where a protective shell is desired, co-extruding a plastic with said foamed profile in a second die to form a protective shell where the reduced dimensions occur, passing the co-extrusion though a calibration die, and then heating the co-extrusion at selected location where weather stripping is desired and then passing the co-extrusion through a final die where plastic weather stripping is extruded therewith and then cooling the integrated member.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a refined assembly structure of hubbed door leaf installed with glass, which comprises a first door skin with an opening, a second door skin with an opening, a top lacing material, a bottom lacing material, a left lacing material, a right lacing material, a handle reinforcement member and the ejected frame with multiplayer glass hold-down. The door skin with opening can be manufactured to be various shapes such as square, rectangular, circle, ellipse, and semicircle depending on different mold. When assembled, the lacing materials are mounted to the edges of the first door skin by the adhesive. The left and the right lacing materials are position-bonded, by ribs, to the flush-sided door skin. The top and the bottom lacing materials are positioned through the milled notches at the top and the bottom ends of the left and the right lacing materials. A reinforcement member is disposed at the handle position to enhance the mechanical strength of the handle while locked.

  • Publication number: 20040035070
Abstract: Improved synthetic doors having high impact resistance employ SMC skins having a layer of reinforcing extending throughout each skin, which skins are glued to rectangular frame forming the rails and stiles of said door and the cavity between the skins filled and a plastic foam. The process of making the doors include the steps of placing a layer of SMC in a compression mold, placing a flexible reinforcing sheet over this layer of SMC so that it covers the entire skin area, placing a second layer of SMC over said reinforcing sheet and curing said layers under heat and pressure in such mold to form the impact resistant skin.

Abstract: A fireproof door assembly structure includes two molded door panels of compression molded skins having outer surfaces of a wood-grain appearance and flat edges around their four sides. These molded door panels are overlaid with each other to form a door with a hollow core. A rectangular frame seals the door panels and coincides with the flat edges of the door panels. A reinforcing part is provided between the panels in an area for attaching a handle to the door panels. A fireproof material core is formed between the door panels to produce the fireproof door, and top, left, and right edges of the rectangular frame have a groove for receiving a fireproof strip therein.

  • Patent number: 6619010
Abstract: An assembly structure of a super-high door includes two hubbed door skins and top, bottom, left and right edge-sealing angle bars. The door skins are positioned by flange ribs of the left angle bar. The top and bottom bars are positioned by notches at the top and the bottom ends of the left and right angle bars. The inner side of a first upper longer region (above the handle) of the left angle bar and the inner side of a second lower shorter region (below the handle) of the left angle bar are respectively inlaid with two U-shaped reinforcing irons having a length corresponding to that of the first and second regions. A wood strip with a length shorter than that of the left angle bar is inserted into the inner of the two reinforcing irons and is then closely joined to another wood strip of which the handle position is inlaid with a reinforcing angle bar.

  • Publication number: 20030084624
Abstract: The present invention relates to the improvement on the assembly structure of door leaf with glass, and more particularly relates to the halving structure of two halving injected frames having the same structure with glass. The back-side circumferences of the halving injected frames with glass have a plurality of male tenons and female tenons which are disposed correspondingly each other top-to-bottom and left-to-right. By using the structures of male tenon and female tenon and the design of integrally surrounding reinforcing rib, the halving injected frame with glass has U-shape male tenon reinforcing rib and U-shape female tenon reinforcing rib so as to strengthen the strength of the having injected frame with glass; therefore, two halving injected frames (having the same structure) with glass joint each other by male tenons and female tenons to fix a multiple-layer glass, which is then held on a door leaf to quickly assemble a door leaf with glass without the need of joint members such as screws.

  • Patent number: 6553735
Abstract: An improved assembly structure of a door leaf with glass, with a halving structure of two halving injected frames having the same structure with glass, includes, at the reverse side of the halving injected frames with glass having a male tenon reinforcing rib with a plurality of female tenons mutually in symmetrical arrangement. That is, both are disposed correspondingly with each other top-to-bottom and left-to-right. Therefore, two identical halving injected frames (having the same structure) are capably halved each other by correspondingly relative male tenons inserted into relative female respectively. The structure is without need of joint members to quickly assemble a door leaf with glass when the two identical halving injected frames are held on a door leaf to further fix a multiple-layer glass therein. This saves assembling time and decreases cost.

  • Patent number: 6551537
Abstract: Structural members for doors and the like can be manufactured from plastic foamed composites containing wood flour by the steps of (1) dry mixing a blend of powders including PVC powder, wood flour, powdered thermal stabilizers, powdered fowning agent and a powdered gelatinization agent, (2) adding the mixed powder to a thermal stirring mixer to obtain a homogeneous dispersion of the several powders (3) transferring the homogeneous dispersion of powders to a cold stirring mixer and stirring at speeds sufficient to avoid agglomeration of the homogeneous dispersion of the several powders and (4) placing the non-agglomerated homogeneous dispersion of the several powders in a feeding hopper of an extrusion machine and extruding shapes for the desired components. The vacuum venting of the extrusion machine can be controlled to achieve components with more desirable surface features. Lubricants can be added to the homogeneous dispersions of the several powders to aid in the extrusion process.
