Abstract: Skin analysis systems and methods are described for analyzing user-specific skin data and health data to generate a user-specific skin analysis. User-specific skin data and health data of a user is received by one or more processors, and the health data comprises one or more of: (1) a body water content or amount, (2) an intracellular-to-extracellular water ratio, (3) a body mass index (BMI), (4) a blood marker, (5) a sugar intake level, (6) a heart rate variability, or (7) a heart rate. A skin analysis learning model analyzes the user-specific skin data and health data to generate a user-specific skin analysis.

Abstract: A tool for use with an image capturing device for enabling capture of an image for analysis and/or evaluation. The tool includes a first end and a second end being connected by at least one wall. The first end is configured to be positioned over a surface enclosing a target facial area of a user for image capture thereof, and the second end is configured to receive the image capturing device. The second end includes an inner surface facing the first end and an outer surface. The tool may also include a reflective device located at the inner surface of the second end for aligning the position of the first end over the surface such that the target facial area is enclosed for image capture thereof.

Abstract: Described herein are materials and methods for evaluating skin quality and providing customized, concierge skin consultation to consumers. In various aspects, the disclosure includes a method comprising detecting polymorphisms in MMP1, SOD2, and GPX1 from a biological sample, calculating a genetic skin score, comparing the genetic skin score to current skin features, and optionally counseling a consumer regarding a skin care regimen customized to enhance immediate skin quality and/or future skin quality.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a computer-based system and method for determining and displaying the metabolic energy of skin cells of an individual, based on a set of biological data collected from the individual, including but not limited to: skin wrinkling, skin texture, skin pigmentation, skin hydration, age, UV exposure, and/or health habits. Particularly, the present invention is useful for counseling consumers of cosmetic products on sales counters regarding the metabolic energy of their skin and making corresponding recommendations for appropriate cosmetic products that will improve their skin metabolic energy.

Abstract: The apparatus and method of the present invention provides a process that can be implemented by a human operator and a computing device to analyze and display human skin images. The system acquires a digital image from a camera or scanner. Subsequently, the system determines which area(s) of the image to analyze using landmarks such as the corner of the eye. The determined areas are then analyzed to locate skin defects such as red spots, and the defects are visually identified on a display. A severity is calculated for the defects and the severity is compared to an average skin severity associated with a population of people. In addition, a simulation is generated and displayed showing an improvement to the defect areas.
