  • Publication number: 20100059276
Abstract: A flange end stub for an electrical busway system is provided. The flange end stub includes a flange plate having a first and second tab extending perpendicular to a first surface. A pair of joint side plates is coupled to the first and second tab with one or more conductors extending through the flange plate in between the joint side plates. A first and second bracket is coupled in between the joint side plates on either side of the conductors. Covers are mounted to the first and second brackets and extend over the conductors and any joint assembly that is attached. The covers and brackets cooperate to provide ingress protection.

  • Patent number: 7617980
Abstract: Reflection of light from a surface is sensed by emitting light from a light emitting diode and focusing the light using an aspherical emitter lens to illuminate a reflecting surface. Light reflected by the reflecting surface is focused onto a photodetector using an aspherical collector lens. The light emitting diode is displaced from the optical axis of the aspherical emitter lens and the photodetector is displaced from the optical axis of the aspherical collector lens.

  • Publication number: 20090145625
Abstract: A power busway assembly includes a pair of opposing non-ferrous metal apertured side plates. The side plates have a U-shaped configuration and include a pair of top and bottom flanges that are joined by a flat piece. The power busway assembly further includes a means on one end of each of the flanges for interlocking the side plates together. The interlocking means intern has an angulated projection or an angulated slot. First rails extending from one of the pairs of flanges are also included that provide hanger support connection means. In addition, second rails extending from another one of the pairs of flanges are included that provide ground stab connection means. The power busway assembly further includes at least one brace that is interconnected with the flanges. The brace is dimensioned and configured to bias the interlocking means together. A method of securing a busway housing to busway power conductors is also presented.

  • Patent number: 7507981
Abstract: A system for identifying a characteristic of a printing media includes a light source module that has a light emitting diode (LED) and an aspheric lens and a light detection module that has a photodetector and an aspheric lens. The light source module and light detection module are oriented with respect to a printing media such that the focusing points of the respective aspheric lenses are located at a common position on the printing media. The system differentiates between printing media types by applying light to the surface of the printing media and measuring the light that is reflected from the surface.

  • Patent number: 7423737
Abstract: A technique for relative velocity determination between a surface and a velocity determination system involves capturing a set of outputs from a first photosensor array and then comparing subsequently captured sets of outputs from a second photosensor array to the set of outputs from the first photosensor array until a satisfactory match is found between the outputs. Once a satisfactory match is found, the elapsed time between the capture of the two sets of outputs represents the time to travel the known separation distance between the two photosensor arrays. Given the known distance of travel and the elapsed time to travel the distance, the relative velocity is a simple calculation of the distance traveled divided by the time to travel the distance.

  • Patent number: 7271963
Abstract: A bi-curvature lens for diodes in an infrared wireless communication transceiver is disclosed. Devices having such a bi-curvature lens, such as a light emitting device, a light detecting device, and a transceiver are also disclosed. A method for designing such a lens, and a method for fabricating a device having such a lens are also disclosed. The bi-curvature lens disclosed has a bottom hemispherical portion and a top aspherical portion. Light emitting diodes and photo detectors used in conjunction with bi-curvature lenses display symmetrical radiation intensity profiles, in accordance with Infrared Data Association standards and protocols.
