  • Patent number: 12254618
Abstract: A circuit apparatus includes an image acquisition circuit, an error detection circuit, and a search circuit. The error detection circuit determines an indicator representing the degree of dissimilarity between a foreground image and a background image out of a display image based on the result of correlation operation and performs error detection on the display image based on the indicator. The search circuit searches the display image for the display position of the foreground image based on the reference image, which serves as a reference for the foreground image. The error detection circuit performs the error detection based on the display position searched for by the search circuit.

  • Patent number: 12230175
Abstract: A circuit device is used for a head-up display apparatus. The circuit device includes a distortion correction circuit and an error detection circuit. The distortion correction circuit performs a distortion correction on input image data as image data of an input image and outputs output image data as image data of an output image after the distortion correction. Respective first divisional areas of a first divisional area group formed by division of the input image correspond to respective second divisional areas of a second divisional area group in the output image in the distortion correction. Here, the error detection circuit detects an occlusion error in a display image of the head-up display apparatus based on the output image data of the respective second divisional areas.

  • Publication number: 20250037673
Abstract: A circuit device controls a display device including light source elements and a display panel. The circuit device includes a luminance analysis circuit and a dimmer circuit. The luminance analysis circuit performs luminance analysis on image data of an input image to output luminance information. The dimmer circuit performs local dimming processing for dimming each of the light source elements based on the luminance information and global dimming processing using a global dimming parameter based on a sensor output of an ambient light sensor, to determine light source luminance information indicating light-emission luminance of each of the light source elements. The dimmer circuit performs dimming processing in which a speed to change the light-emission luminance in the global dimming processing is slower than a speed to change the light-emission luminance in the local dimming processing.

  • Publication number: 20250037674
Abstract: A circuit device includes a luminance analysis circuit and a dimmer circuit. The luminance analysis circuit performs luminance analysis on image data of an input image to output luminance information. The dimmer circuit determines light source luminance information indicating light-emission luminance of each of light source elements according to the luminance information. The dimmer circuit determines the light-emission luminance of the light source element from the luminance information of a pixel by using a weight corresponding to a distance between the pixel and the light source element. The dimmer circuit sets an attenuation degree of the weight with respect to the distance to a first attenuation degree when a global dimming parameter is a first value. The dimmer circuit sets the attenuation degree to a second attenuation degree higher than the first attenuation degree when the global dimming parameter is a second value smaller than the first value.

  • Publication number: 20250006142
Abstract: A circuit device includes a luminance analysis circuit, a dimming circuit, and an area boosting circuit. The luminance analysis circuit luminance analyzes image data of an input image to output luminance information. The dimming circuit determines light source luminance information indicating light emission luminance at which each light source element of the plurality of light source elements emits light in accordance with the luminance information. The area boosting circuit performs an area boosting process on the dimming circuit. The area boosting process is a process in which the light emission luminance of the light source element corresponding to a first area is higher when the area boosting process is performed on the first area of the input image than when the area boosting process is not performed on the first area.
