    Abstract: A mobile terminal for classifying contents and a control method thereof are provided. The mobile terminal includes: a display unit configured to display a plurality of contents; a touch sensor configured to sense a touch input applied to the display unit; and a controller configured to classify at least one of a plurality of contents selected on the basis of a touch input applied to the display unit into a particular category, and display an object indicating the category of the selected contents in a region adjacent to the selected contents.
