  • Publication number: 20210227249
Abstract: Computer vision systems and methods for compositional pixel prediction are provided. The system receives an input image frame having a plurality of entities where each entity has a location at a first time step. The system processes the input image frame to extract a representation of each entity. The system utilizes an entity predictor to determine a predicted representation of each extracted entity representation at a next time step based on each extracted entity representation and a latent variable and utilizes a frame decoder to generate a predicted frame based on the input image frame and the predicted entity representations. The system trains an encoder to predict a distribution over the latent variable based on the input image frame and a final frame of a ground truth video associated with the input image frame.

  • Patent number: 11062237
Abstract: A method and a system for maximizing share-ride bookings in a geographical area in a ride-sharing system are provided. Historical share-ride demands for the geographical area are estimated. A time period is segmented into time intervals such that each time interval has an equal count of the estimated historical share-ride demands. A conversion rate and a gross merchandise value (GMV) per unit of distance are determined for a first time interval at a check point of a second time interval. Error signals are generated at the check point based on deviations in the conversion rate and the GMV per unit of distance with respect to a defined conversion rate and a defined GMV per unit of distance, respectively. A share-ride fare in the second time interval is controlled based on the error signals to maximize the share-ride bookings during the second time interval.

  • Patent number: 11062362
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for providing dynamic communication threads in response to a detected interaction with a sponsored digital content item. For example, systems and method described herein detect a user interaction with a sponsored digital content item and generate a screened communication thread between the user and the sponsor that is not available to the sponsor. The screened communication thread serves as a reminder to the user of the sponsored digital content item. Systems and methods described herein convert the screened communication thread to an open communication thread based on user interaction with the screened communication thread (e.g., after the user submits a reply in the screened communication thread). Thus, systems and methods described herein protect the user's online privacy unless and until the user indicates a desire to interact with the sponsor.

  • Patent number: 11055427
Abstract: A cloud security system and method designed to protect users' data in case of accidental leaks in a cloud computing environment. Secured hashing of the names of folders stored on the cloud data storage are generated and persisted using multiple iterations of cryptographic hash functions along with a concatenated random number for each of the folder names, thereby providing protection against vulnerability of the folder names. The proposed system is a dual-layer framework consisting of a control layer and a data layer. The control layer is responsible for cryptographic hashing and persistence of the folder name, hashed name, salt, and iterations in a database. The control layer communicates with the data layer and provides the hashed folder names to persist the user data cloud storage.

  • Publication number: 20210184923
Abstract: A device receives, from a cloud computing environment, cloud instance information associated with cloud instances in the cloud computing environment, and processes the cloud instance information, with a machine learning model, to determine containers for one or more of the cloud instances and whether cloud instances should be removed from the cloud computing environment. The device causes a first subset of the cloud instances to be removed from the cloud computing environment, based on determining which of the cloud instances should be removed, and causes the containers to be created for a second subset of the cloud instances based on determining the containers. The device receives, from the cloud computing environment, cloud container information associated with the containers created in the cloud computing environment, and causes one or more of the containers to be scaled based on the cloud container information.

  • Publication number: 20210182161
Abstract: Illustrative embodiments represent a dynamic on-demand approach to configuring destination storage for bare metal restore (BMR) operations without operator intervention, including destination storage that is smaller than source storage devices. The illustrative operations rely on system state information collected concurrently with or shortly after source data is backed up, thereby capturing current actual storage metrics for the source data. The illustrative embodiments further rely on enhanced data agent components to collect and restore system state information as well as to restore backup data, thereby streamlining the configurations needed for the BMR operation to proceed. Additional business logic matches source mount points with suitable smaller destination storage resources and ensures that the BMR operation successfully completes with diverse and/or smaller storage destinations.
