  • Patent number: 12135736
Abstract: Questions play a central role in assessment of a candidate's expertise during an interview or examination. However, generating such questions from input text documents manually needs specialized expertise and experience. Further, techniques that are available for automated question generation require input sentence as well as an answer phrase in that sentence to generate question. This in-turn requires large training datasets consisting tuples of input sentence answer-phrase and the corresponding question. Additionally, training datasets are available are for general purpose text, but not for technical text. Present application provides systems and methods for generating technical questions from technical documents. The system extracts meta information and linguistic information of text data present in technical documents. The system then identifies relationships that exist in provided text data. The system further creates one or more graphs based on the identified relationships.

  • Publication number: 20240362937
Abstract: A text recognition system causes a trained region encoder to determine a region of interest of an image file. The system modifies a first image associated with the first region of interest (e.g., parsed out from the first region) to generate a data augmentation entity that includes a modified image. Using a trained instance encoder, the system generates a first set of visual instances corresponding to the first region of interest image and a second set of visual instances corresponding to the data augmentation entity. The system generates the corresponding first and second sequences. By executing a self-supervised contrastive loss function on the first and second sequences, the system automatically updates a continual knowledge distillation model of the trained region encoder. The system provides the first sequence to an instance decoder to generate output text in response to the prompt.

  • Patent number: 12124406
Abstract: An Application Data Management System (ADMS) enables an application file system to be mounted at any selected reconstruction time (TR). If the reconstruction time TR falls intermediate snapshot creation timepoints, the ADMS creates a version of the application file system at the selected reconstruction time TR using a snapshot of the data file from a previous application file system snapshot creation timepoint, and a snapshot of the log file from a subsequent application file system snapshot creation timepoint. The ADMS uses the snapshot of the log file from the subsequent snapshot creation timepoint to replay transactions on the snapshot of the data file from the previous snapshot creation timepoint up to the selected reconstruction time TR. This enables the state of the application file system to be recreated and mounted at any arbitrary selected reconstruction time, even if the selected reconstruction time is not coincident with snapshot creation timepoints.

  • Patent number: 12118245
Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein enable systems to efficiently interface with zoned namespace (ZNS) storage devices through a specialized management entity. To achieve this, the management entity receives write requests from a file system containing data intended for storage at the ZNS device. In response, the management entity selects a zone from the ZNS device to write the file data to. Accordingly, the file data is written by appending the file data to the zone at a location indicated by a write pointer. When the write operation is completed, the offset of the file data within the zone is observed and recorded by the file system in file metadata. In contrast to typical systems which allocate locations at the storage device prior to writing, appending file data and then recording the location enables improved efficiency in file system operations. Namely, that write operations can be issued to the ZNS device non-serially.
