  • Publication number: 20240115284
Abstract: A cooling tower for evaporative cooling of water is contained within an ISO-compliant shipping container frame, permitting stacking of cooling towers for transport and for certain industrial applications. A volume of fill media is contained within the frame. Spaced apart troughs underlie the fill media, running substantially the length of the fill media and connecting to a basin. Baffles are connected to one upper edge of the troughs, while an air flow space is positioned over the other upper trough edge. A water distribution system, with variable flow nozzles positioned closely above the fill media, sprays water over the upper surface of the fill media, where it moves by gravity down into the troughs. Fans atop the fill media move air vertically upward through the fill media.

  • Patent number: 10242052
Abstract: Methods and systems for processing a database query are disclosed. An example method includes receiving a SQL database query at a database query handling server, and parsing the SQL database query to identify a database and one or more tables and columns identified by the SQL database query. The method also includes determining a query plan based on the parsed database query. At a database engine, and based on the query plan and the identified database, tables and columns, the method further includes identifying a set of data nodes implicated by the identified database, tables and columns, determining a set of reduce operations and levels at which each of the set of map-reduce operations are to execute, and passing the query plan, the set of data nodes, and the map-reduce operations to a map-reduce query execution framework. The map-reduce query framework returns records as query results to the client system.

  • Patent number: 7979656
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus of minimizing configuration of changes in a fabric-based data protection solution. In one embodiment, a method includes configuring a switch such that a write request to a primary storage device is transferred through a virtual initiator in the switch to the primary storage device and to a secondary storage device, and configuring the switch such that a read request from the secondary initiator of a data in the primary storage device appears as though the read request is coming from a physical initiator rather than the secondary initiator (e.g., such that system protocol may be bypassed because the switch intercepts a response having the data from the primary storage device through a virtual target which uses the virtual initiator of the switch to communicate the data to the secondary initiator rather than the physical initiator).
