  • Patent number: 11548401
Abstract: Automatically identifying an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) is described. A receiver device receives wireless signals from EVSEs, where each wireless signal includes an identifier that is associated with the one of the EVSEs from which that wireless signal is received. The receiver device records signal strength values of the wireless signals and determines, based on the recorded signal strength values, which of the EVSEs is closest to the receiver device. The receiver device initiates a request for an action at the EVSE determined to be closest to the receiver device.

  • Patent number: 11553362
Abstract: In a wireless communication relay, a network transceiver wirelessly detects wireless access points. The network transceiver beamforms wireless test signals and wirelessly transmits the beamformed wireless test signals to the wireless access points. A user transceiver in the relay wirelessly detects cross-relay interference levels when the network transceiver wirelessly transmits the beamformed wireless test signals to the wireless access points. The user transceiver transfers the cross-relay interference levels for the wireless access points to the network transceiver. The network transceiver selects one of the wireless access points based on the cross-relay interference levels for the wireless access points. The network transceiver wirelessly exchanges user data with the selected one of the wireless access points and exchanges the user data with the user transceiver.

  • Patent number: 11553005
Abstract: Policy deviations for distributed computing environments are detected and recorded an immutable ledger of transaction provenance from end to end transactions performed in the distributed computing environment. From the immutable ledger, persona data for transaction types is plotted as an bipartite graph. Edge weights of the bipartite graphs are correlated to trust levels between personas from the persona data and the transaction types from the immutable ledger. Trust levels from the edge weights are correlated to rules illustrating when the transaction provenance indicate a policy deviation in the distributed computing environment. The rules are then employed to detect in real time end to end provenance when a policy deviation in the distributed computing environment is occurring. An alert of policy deviations may be sent to stakeholders for the distributed computing environment.

  • Patent number: 11547371
Abstract: Various embodiments described herein relate to an intelligent warning system in a communication service. One embodiment of the present invention analyzes a user's biometric signals and image data of one of the users in a communication session to determine a distress level. In addition, location data indicating the user's velocity and direction can be used to determine a distress level. If the biometric signals or the image data indicate a distress level that meets or exceeds a threshold level, a notification is automatically sent to a remote user. This can allow a remote user to render assistance to a user in distress, even when the user is unable to communicate one or more conditions.

  • Patent number: 11548505
Abstract: A driver assist system for a vehicle includes a vehicle speed sensor disposed at a vehicle. An ECU includes a processor for processing sensor data generated by the vehicle speed sensor. The ECU, responsive to processing at the ECU of sensor data generated by the vehicle speed sensor, determines speed of the vehicle. The ECU, responsive to determining that the speed of the vehicle reaches a vehicle soft lock speed, automatically enables a vehicle speed soft lock. The ECU, responsive to the vehicle reducing speed to the vehicle soft lock speed by coasting, maintains the current vehicle speed at the vehicle soft lock speed. The ECU, responsive to the speed of the vehicle increasing a multiple of a vehicle speed increment above the vehicle soft lock speed, automatically sets an increased vehicle soft lock speed that is the multiple of the vehicle speed increment above the vehicle soft lock speed.

  • Patent number: 11550285
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are provided for determining a maintenance mode of one or more merging units of an electric power delivery system using an intelligent electronic device that may rely on communication from wired (or wireless) electrical measurement devices. The intelligent electronic device may be a line relay. The merging units may provide data to the line relay including at least one bit indicating a maintenance mode of each merging unit. If a maintenance mode bit from a particular merging unit indicates that the merging unit is in the maintenance mode, logic of the line relay may determine if a maintenance mode override is received. If so, the line relay may disregard the maintenance mode bit and process the data from the merging unit. If the logic determines that the merging unit is in the maintenance mode, the line relay may force data from the merging unit to zero.

  • Patent number: 11549390
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to health-monitoring of a magnetic speed probe. An inductive coil of the magnetic speed probe is used for two purposes: i) to sense a changing magnetic field caused by rotation of a rotating member; and ii) to radiatively transmit radio-frequency signals for determining the health of the magnetic speed probe. A signal generator coupled to the inductive coil of the magnetic speed probe generates the radio-frequency signals that, when conducted by the inductive coil, causes an inductive coil to act as a radio transmitter by radiatively transmitting the radio-frequency signals. The radio-frequency signals transmitted by the inductive coil are detected by a radio receiver. The radio-frequency signals received are indicative of health of the magnetic speed probe.
