  • Publication number: 20250117299
Abstract: A technique monitors input/output (I/O) and storage ownership takeover activity patterns to detect degraded performance of a highly available and fault tolerant application executing in a multi-site environment. Multiple instances of the application execute in different containers or pods running on virtual machines (VMs) of a compute layer within a containerized (e.g., Kubernetes) clustering configuration that extends across clusters of the sites. A storage layer of the clusters provides shared storage to the pods running on the VMs across the multiple sites. One of the sites is configured as an active storage site configured to receive and service I/O requests from the compute layer. A single instance of the application is active at a time and configured as a “compute owner” of the shared storage to issue the I/O requests to the shared storage.

  • Publication number: 20250118175
Abstract: Systems and methods include extracting item parameters from images of items positioned at a POS system. Item parameters associated with each item when mapped into a feature vector for each item are indicative as to an identification of the item. The feature vectors are analyzed to determine whether item parameters when combined and mapped into the feature vectors match a corresponding feature vector stored in a database. The database stores different combinations of item parameters as mapped into different stored feature vectors with different stored feature vectors associated with different items thereby identifying each item based on each different combination of item parameters as mapped into each stored feature vector associated with each item. Each item positioned at the POS system is identified when the feature vectors associated with each item match a corresponding stored feature vector as stored in the database.

  • Publication number: 20250117274
Abstract: In conventional networked computing systems, stream-processing software is utilized to handle real-time data feeds. For example, a stream-processing software may sort incoming data feeds into data logs, which are then consumed by various application servers within the computing system. However, this consumption process is susceptible to failure as application servers often fail to consume a full payload of data comprising a particular message. As such, a need exists for a streaming architecture with improved fault tolerance. The system provided herein solves the problem via a reliable streaming process, which regularly generates partitions within a series of data lakes. As streaming data is received, the payloads are synced into the different data lakes based on metadata associated with the streaming data. The system can then perform individual quality checks on each partition of data, enabling the system to continuously monitor data quality over time.

  • Publication number: 20250119236
Abstract: An interface device distributes data from a plurality of input data streams to a smaller number first data streams, and periodically inserts a set of alignment markers (AMs) into the first data streams. After using the AMs, the interface device removes the AMs and reinserts the AMs at particular positions. A forward error correction (FEC) encoder encodes data corresponding to the first data stream to generate FEC codewords and distributes data from the FEC codewords to multiple outputs streams. Within the output streams, the AMs are located at FEC codeword boundaries and bits of a first AM, among the set of AMs, are spread across multiple outputs stream. A single output data stream is generated based on the multiple output streams of the FEC encoder.
