  • Publication number: 20250111759
Abstract: A method provides techniques for dynamically modifying vibration haptics of an electronic device. The method includes detecting, by an electronic device comprising a haptic output device, a haptic triggering event. A first haptic output is generated in response to detecting the haptic triggering event. The method continues with waiting a predetermined duration for an acknowledgement of the first haptic output. In response to the first haptic output not being acknowledged after the predetermined duration, a haptic setting of the electronic device is changed to generate a second haptic output that has at least one parameter that differs from a corresponding parameter of the first haptic output, increasing the likelihood of getting the attention of a user in response to the triggering event.

  • Publication number: 20250111690
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for adaptively discretizing a position of a textual object in a document includes receiving, by a computer system, an image of the document and determining, by the computer system, an absolute position of the textual object in the image of the document. The method further includes normalizing, by the computer system, the absolute position to determine a relative position of the textual object. The method also includes calculating, by the computer system, a bin size such that at least one axis of the image is divided into a plurality of separate bins, wherein a distance between each bin along the at least one axis and its adjacent bin equals the bin size. The method includes discretizing, by the computer system, the relative position based on the bin size to determine a discretized position of the textual object; and providing, by the computer system, the discretized position and a textual content of the textual object as an input to a machine learning model.

  • Publication number: 20250112484
Abstract: An apparatus may include a DC to DC converter that converts a high voltage level from a battery pack to a relatively lower voltage level for various components of a vehicle. The DC to DC converter may provide an alternate power supply in addition to a battery that is separate from the battery pack. The battery pack and the DC to DC converter may be used to supply power, instead of the battery, during a sleep mode of a vehicle. Further, the DC to DC converter can supply power to float charge the battery, thus minimizing cycling of the battery. The DC to DC converter and the battery may provide a redundant, or backup, power source for a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20250110862
Abstract: A system receives a request for a data block, in which the data block corresponds to a set of fragments, and the data block can be fully reconstructed using a threshold number of the set of fragments. A first subset of the set of fragments are stored in a first storage system, and a second subset of the set of fragments are stored in a second storage system characterized by a higher average latency than the first storage system. A system, responsive to receiving the request for the data block, requests the first subset of the set of fragments. A system receives at least the threshold number of the first subset of the fragments. A system reconstructs the data block using the received fragments of the first subset of the fragments. • Publication number: 20250109715
Abstract: An engine system that delivers torque to a driveline of a vehicle includes an internal combustion engine (ICE), a manifold, an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) circuit, an electric turbine (eTurbine) and a controller. The EGR circuit has an EGR valve that selectively moves between open and closed positions. The eTurbine is driven by an electric motor and is configured to deliver air away from the manifold. The controller determines an ICE start request and, based on the ICE start request, sends a signal to the EGR valve to open thereby fluidly connecting the manifold and the eTurbine. The controller sends a signal to the eTurbine to rotate and move air out of the manifold through the EGR circuit. The eTurbine is used to deplete air in the manifold before starting the ICE. As a result, a reduction in fuel used and therefore a reduction in emissions at startup is achieved.

  • Patent number: 12266029
Abstract: The system obtains a unique identifier of the vehicle and a unique identifier of a driver of the vehicle. The system generates an OTP using the unique identifier of the vehicle and the unique identifier of the driver of the vehicle and sends the OTP to the UE of the driver of the vehicle. The system authenticates the vehicle and the driver of the vehicle by receiving the OTP from the unique identifier of the UE. The system creates in a database an association between the unique identifier of the vehicle, the unique identifier of the driver of the vehicle, and the UE of the driver of the vehicle. The system detects that the UE is proximate to the parking garage where the vehicle is parked. Upon detecting that the UE is proximate to the parking garage, the system identifies the vehicle of the UE and delivers the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12267238
Abstract: Techniques for group-based classification and policy enforcement at a network fabric edge for traffic that is being sent to external network destinations are disclosed herein. The techniques may include receiving, at a control plane of a network and from an edge node of the network, a request to provide mapping data associated with sending a packet to a destination. Based at least in part on an address prefix value associated with the destination, the control plane may determine that the destination is located in an external network. Additionally, a group identifier that is associated with the destination may be determined. In this way, an indication of the group identifier may be sent to the edge node such that the edge node may determine, based at least in part on the group identifier, a policy decision for routing the packet to the external network.

  • Patent number: 12265453
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or computing devices are provided for snapshot creation. For example, a request may be received to create a snapshot of a first storage object, hosted by a first storage controller, having a synchronous replication relationship with a second storage object hosted by a second storage controller. A coordinator workflow is initialized to issue a drain and hold request to a splitter. Responsive to an indication that the splitter has stopped processing and started queuing incoming write operations and has drained current write operations based upon the drain and hold request, snapshot creation requests are sent to the first storage controller and the second storage controller. Responsive to the first storage controller creating a first snapshot of the first storage object and the second storage controller creating a second snapshot of the second storage object, the splitter may be resumed to process write operations.

  • Patent number: 12265928
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include matching transportation requests. By collecting and batching match requests over an extended period, a dynamic transportation matching system may identify more efficient matches (e.g., may match transportation requests with greater overlaps). In addition, by dynamically setting and/or extending the upper bound of time that a transportation request may remain batched with other transportation requests, the dynamic transportation matching system may account for contextual information thereby situationally improving matching efficiencies made possible with higher upper bounds while avoiding requestor dissatisfaction, lost conversions, or other inefficiencies that may result from upper bounds that are too high.
