Abstract: An electronic device for long-term adhesion to a mammal includes a housing with an electronic component. The electronic device may include a first wing and a second wing, each being integrally formed with the housing. An electrode is positioned on a bottom surface of each of the wings, the electrodes electrically connected to the electronic component. An adhesive layer is provided for adhesion to a surface of the mammal. The adhesive layer may cover a portion of the bottom surfaces of the wings but generally does not cover the electrode or a bottom surface of the housing. A method of applying an electronic device to a mammal includes removing first and second adhesive covers from first and second wings of the electronic device to expose an electrode and an adhesive coated on a bottom surface of each wing.

  • Publication number: 20240403104
Abstract: Live mounting a virtual machine (VM) causes the VM to run off a backup copy or snapshot previously taken of a “live” production VM. The live-mounted VM is generally intended for temporary use such as to validate the integrity and contents of the backup copy for disaster recovery validation, or to access some contents of the backup copy from the live-mounted VM without restoring all backed up files. These uses contemplate that changes occurring during live mount are not preserved after the live-mounted VM expires or is taken down. Thus, live mounting a VM is not a restore operation and usually does not involve access to every block of data in the backup copy. However, live mounting provides live VM service in the cloud sooner than waiting for all of the backup copy/snapshot to be restored.

  • Publication number: 20240405897
Abstract: The system obtains KPIs of the production RAN of the network and capabilities of multiple UEs interacting with the test RAN. The system creates a test case based on the KPIs and the capabilities of the multiple UEs interacting with the test RAN by: adjusting a type of traffic associated with the test RAN, adjusting traffic characteristics, and adjusting the capabilities of the multiple UEs interacting with the test RAN. The system runs a simulation of the test case interacting with the test RAN to obtain simulation KPIs. The system determines whether the simulation KPIs correspond to the KPIs associated with the production RAN. Upon determining that the simulation KPIs correspond to the KPIs of the production RAN, the system stores the test case in a database. Upon determining that the simulation KPIs do not correspond to the KPIs of the production RAN, the system adjusts the test case.

  • Publication number: 20240403126
Abstract: A smart interrupt controller (SIC) routs an interrupt to a specific processor by dynamically changing the affinity of the interrupt based upon the processor power state and/or system load thereof. The SIC arbitrates interrupt servicing based on various parameters such as interrupt priority, interrupt affinity, processor load and processor power. Interrupt load sharing between selected processors increases overall computer system performance. Interrupt latency times decrease by avoiding unnecessary switching of processor power states from an inactive state to an active state by instead routing the interrupt to a different processor already in an active state. Interrupt latency times will decrease by routing the interrupt service request from a heavily loaded processor to one that is not so heavily loaded. Whereby active processor clock cycles are effectively utilized for interrupt servicing.
