  • Patent number: 11914490
Abstract: A variety of applications can include apparatus and/or methods to preemptively detect defect prone memory blocks in a memory device and handle these memory blocks before they fail and trigger a data loss event. Metrics based on memory operations can be used to facilitate the examination of the memory blocks. One or more metrics associated with a memory operation on a block of memory can be tracked and a Z-score for each metric can be generated. In response to a comparison of a Z-score for a metric to a Z-score threshold for the metric, operations can be performed to control possible retirement of the memory block beginning with the comparison. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: Presented herein are techniques to facilitate infrastructure and policy orchestration in a shared workspace network environment. In one example, a method may include obtaining, by a service broker, a reservation request from a consumer network for a consumer, wherein the reservation request seeks a reservation to reserve, at least in part, at least one workspace device for the consumer for a workspace for a particular day and a particular time period; based on determining that the at least one workspace device is available, providing a response to the consumer network that includes a first indicator for identifying the reservation of the workspace and at least one second indicator identifying the at least one workspace device; and upon receiving a session request from the consumer network that includes the second indicator, establishing a management tunnel to interconnect the consumer network and the at least one workspace device via the service broker.

  • Patent number: 11917636
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) is configured such that sounding reference signal (SRS) is switched among a number of antennas on a number of carriers associated with a default data subscription (DDS). The UE is also configured to receive a signal, scheduled using discontinuous reception (DRX), and associated with a non-default data subscription using at least one of the antennas used by the DDS. The UE determines based on carrier characteristics which resource is used to receive the signal during a DRX cycle. In some aspects, the decision is based on avoiding a conflict between the SRS switching and DRX reception. In further aspects, the decision is based on selecting the carrier contributing least to downlink throughput.

  • Publication number: 20240062956
Abstract: An assembly for manufacturing the insulation layer of a Thomson coil includes a base plate, a coil housing, and a cover plate. The base plate securely seats the coil housing, and the coil housing securely seats a Thomson coil and the cover plate. The cover plate has several ribs that hold multiple turns of a Thomson coil in place while epoxy is applied to the coil, thus ensuring that the epoxy is evenly distributed on the coil surface and that the coil windings remain level. The cover plate and coil housing are structured to either receive a high-pressure epoxy injection or to be used in an epoxy potting process, during which all exposed areas of the Thomson coil are coated by liquid epoxy. After the epoxy has solidified, the Thomson coil is coupled to the coil housing, and the housed and insulated Thomson coil is removed from the assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240061832
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for converting a natural language utterance to an intermediate database query representation. An input string is generated by concatenating a natural language utterance with a database schema representation for a database. Based on the input string, a first encoder generates one or more embeddings of the natural language utterance and the database schema representation. A second encoder encodes relations between elements in the database schema representation and words in the natural language utterance based on the one or more embeddings. A grammar-based decoder generates an intermediate database query representation based on the encoded relations and the one or more embeddings. Based on the intermediate database query representation and an interface specification, a database query is generated in a database query language.

  • Publication number: 20240064518
Abstract: Security policies are made dependent on location of a device and the location of a device is determined and the appropriate security policy applied without providing the device's location to a server. A device determine its location and identifies a security policy identifier mapped to a zone including the location. The device requests the security policy corresponding to the identifier from a server and implements it. The device may also store a database of the security policies and implement them according to its location. Devices registered for a user evaluate whether locations detected for the devices correspond to impossible travel by the user. Objects encoding geolocation data of a device may be encrypted with a private key of the device and the public key of another to prevent access by an intermediary server.

Abstract: A processor includes a register file and an execution unit. The execution unit includes a hash circuit including at least a state register, a state update circuit coupled to the state register, and a control circuit. Based on a hash instruction, the hash circuit receives from the register file and buffers within the state register a current state of a message being hashed. The state update circuit performs state update function on contents of the state register, where performing the state update function includes performing a plurality of iterative rounds of processing on contents of the state register and returning a result of each of the plurality of iterative rounds of processing to the state register. Following completion of all of the plurality of iterative rounds of processing, the execution unit stores contents of the state register to the register file as an updated state of the message.

  • Publication number: 20240060253
Abstract: Composite decks increase bridge strength and stiffness. Prestressed composite open web steel girder has added advantage of high strength cable support. Results of typical 125 m span bridges having heights of 9.0 m, 10.0 m and 12.5 m, and another 50.0 m span and 2.5 m height are given. Member stresses and bridge deflections during erection remained safe. Average steel off take for the 125 m bridge is 2.65 t/m and for the 50 m span bridge it is 1.77 t/m for limiting live load deflection of Span/800. Its reserve strength is 3.2 times service condition live load. The girders are panel wise workshop fabricated, assembled at site, jacked up or crane lifted to secure over bearings. Connection of the cross members, and onsite deck casting in parts with stage wise bottom chord prestressing is carried out. Short to long span bridges for single or multiple lanes in road, rail, metro rail, and coastal link projects are feasible.

  • Publication number: 20240064685
Abstract: Disclosed are various techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) measures, during a measurement period that spans multiple measurement opportunities, multiple positioning reference signal (PRS) instances, each PRS instance occupying a different measurement opportunity, to produce a plurality of positioning measurements. A PRS instance can be a PRS resource, a PRS resource set, a PRS frequency layer, a transmission/reception point, or combinations thereof. For each PRS instance measured, the UE determines whether the PRS instance was punctured. Upon a determination that the PRS instance was punctured, the UE discards at least a portion of the positioning measurement and modifies the measurement period, e.g., by restarting the measurement period or extending the measurement period in order to take a measurement of another PRS instance.

  • Publication number: 20240063829
Abstract: Processes and devices for finding signals within a frequency range include converting an analog input signal to a digital domain using an analog-to-digital converter to create a digital input signal. A first fast Fourier transform (FFT) converts the digital input signal to a frequency input signal, which is binned based on frequency and a threshold to create a binary filter. The digital input signal (from the analog-to-digital converter) is sorted into containers (e.g., using the Chinese remainder theorem) and then run through a second FFT to convert the digital input signal to a frequency intermediate signal. The frequency intermediate signal is sorted into bins and multiplied using the binary filter to create an output frequency signal.

  • Publication number: 20240062902
Abstract: An electronic device and method for chronic pulmonary disease prediction from audio input based on short-winded breath determination using artificial intelligence is disclosed. The electronic device receives an audio input associated with a user. The electronic device applies an Artificial Intelligence (AI) model to detect a short-winded breath duration that corresponds to a time duration between an end of a first spoken word and a start of a second spoken word succeeding the first spoken word. The electronic device detects a speaking pattern. The electronic device applies a Recurrent neural network (RNN) model to reconstruct a set of short-winded breath audio samples. The electronic device generates an audio sample dataset and a set of audio features. The electronic device applies a modular neural network model on the generated audio sample dataset and on the generated set of audio features to determine a set of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) metrics.
